Café Duplex — Restaurant in Lagoa

Wouldnt recommend to anybody at all. Came across this place a week ago and it looked fantastic with a great setting with outside seating and the menu had the type of food me and my misses wanted. Ordered a bacon barm for myself and a cheese toastie for my partner with a couple of lattes. Took a while to bring out the food. Cheese toastie had more than enough cheese to satisfy anyone but cheap supermarket stuff. The bacon barm on the other hand wasn't edible at all I tried to take a bite and couldn't get through it so looked inside the barm which hadn't even been buttered so was just dry bread and the bacon was burnt and had a texture like plastic. Took the bacon barm back inside and said I couldn't eat it and "in their words" was told that because they thought it was good enough for them to bring it out to me I still had to pay. Said to them I wasn't going to pay for something i couldnt eat. And then the woman threatened me with the police. I said she could go ahead. Totally Disgraceful and appalling behaviour all because of their mistake of not being able to cook a few simple slices...

Este bar es lo primero que encontramos, al llegar queríamos sentarnos a pedir algo para tomar antes de comenzar nuestro trayecto.

Pero primero quise pasar al baño, le pregunté a la camarera puedo pasar al baño? . Me respondió gritando que solo era para clientes y digo vale nos vamos a sentar pero si quiere le pago… encima yo incrédula , pensando en pagarle y me dice pues es 1€ digo vale .

Y le digo me cobra por favor el euro , y sigue gritando de forma muy agresiva y diciéndome que ahora no voy a pasar y está murmurando estos españoles de **…

Y le digo perdón? Estaba en shock alguien que no me conoce y con una actitud tan agresiva.

Y me dice que los españoles no somos bienvenidos, total al final a pesar de la necesidad de querer pasar al baño y tomar algo, decidí directamente no darle ni un euro de mi bolsillo a esta señora maleducada e impresentable.

Ni quise permitir que arruinara mi día , por una persona que es triste en su vida y amargada realmente no merece la pena. Es más caminando un poco más adelante te atienden en los otros bares estupendamente y son personas increíbles.

A la señora, la invito a venir a España y conocer a muchos españoles que quizás le den una lección de bienvenida y respeto que le hace falta.

No obstante, recalcar que todas las personas que hemos conocido en Portugal son maravillosas, pero como en todos lados hay gente amargada...

This is a pleasant walk into the older port of the town although it is up a hill and there are many steps.
