I went out to eat with my girlfriend. We heard this was a nice place from a friend.
As the atmosphere was amazing, the food and service came in lacking. The food was fine don't get me wrong, it's just not "great" for the price you pay. It's not expensive, just more expensive then other restaurants.
So let's start the review: we got a table downstairs as upstairs was full. She gave us the food menu and said she would come back with the drinks card (she came back after 15 minutes and I still had to ask) then we ordered our food, I had the truffle pasta and focaccia as couvert. We also ordered still water cause she asked if we wanted water (1 bottle is 5 euros)
When ordering focaccia you would think it comes before the actual food right? It certainly did not, it never came.
The pasta was watery, the truffle wasn't really there and overall it was just some truffle water with spaghetti. My girlfriend ordered buratta, which was fine. We didn't order a starter because it took so long to even get us the drinks card, as we were really hungry. She didn't seem content with the fact we ordered so "less" stuff. I felt passive agressivenes when she asked "anything else" after every order.
Then after we ate and wanted the bill, the focaccia was still on the bill which we never got. I got it corrected so all good, still weird.
Conclusion: I found the atmosphere really good. The atmosphere really did compensate with the service and food quality a bit. If you want a good atmosphere, fast food (the mains came really fast) and nice music. Then yes, go here.
If you are used to better quality pasta then don't (for me personally it...
Read moreIt was my second visit to this restaurant – unfortunately, very disappointing. The first time, I encountered unfriendly service when I wanted to have coffee during the day. The place was completely empty, and I just wanted to take a side table to enjoy my coffee. As i used to in many restaurants in Ferragudo. The manager was rude and eventually (finally!) allowed me to have my coffee. I've never experienced such unfriendly service in Ferragudo (and in Portugal) where I've been living for many years! The second time, I wanted to have some wine with my partner and then have dinner. However, the lady manager claimed that the restaurant was fully booked and we couldn't do that. It was not true!. Some time later, we noticed there were only two tables occupied in the restaurant! They simply didn't want to serve us. Terracotta Ferragudo – potential customers should not be treated like this. We won't visit your place again and won't recommend...
Read moreUnexpectedly we visited the TerraCotta restaurant. We did not plan to go out for dinner, but this change of mind was a welcome surprise. We come often in Ferragudo and this one opened a year ago. For us a new one to check out. TerraCotta is mostly based on pastas. You can't get a pizza but believe me, you won't miss it. The food is excellent 👌🏻 and the restaurant looks very nice with a nice roof terrace. The service is friendly, they enjoy taking time to chat with the customers and make your stay very comfortable. We had a great meal. The starter with bruschetta was amazing, the main with pasta pesto with stracciatella (that is the burrata) was delicious and we topped it off with homemade Tiramisu. Thankfully we enjoyed the stay and glad to have this in Ferragudo, a welcome addition to...
