Lord's Bar — Restaurant in Lagoa

Do not eat here. Staff rude. Over priced for the disgusting food that is served Only giving one star because I have to otherwise it would be 0 stars

Decided to go for food here which was a terrible mistake, there are loads of nice restaurants in the area which I would highly recommend over here, one in particular being Palmeiras which we have been to multiple times and been served fresh, high quality food.

Once taking our seat we was sat for over 10 minutes waiting for someone to come and take our order, we had chosen our meal from the limited menu within minutes. The waiter came over and asked for our order. He said that we couldn’t order food yet as we need to wait for his college, anyway time had passed and his college came over to take our order which we had then given him. Over 40 minutes later we had then been presented with our meal. The people behind us who had been waiting longer than us didn’t even have their meal at this time. I ordered chicken which had a very strange smell to it baring in mind it was plain. The chicken was chewy and had a very squishy texture to it which I was unable to eat. The chips tasted like they had been cooked and left to get cold and cooked again throughout the day. My partner had a steak which also had a foul smell and was in eatable. We sent back both these please as we couldn’t eat them, the only two things nice that we had was the salmon and the shrimp cocktail.

The manager/chef came over and was rude to us.he claimed to us that he knows what food he is serving In his restraunt and that we was wrong. He took the food and when he brought us the bill he was even more rude. He said that the other customer had the same chicken and had no complaints, I questioned him on this as the customer clearly didn’t as we would have had two completely different chickens. They may have been from the same frozen packet but they wasn’t the same chicken. He then proceeded to tell us that we have wasted food it is now in the trash. He said he would take 50% off the bill then quickly changed his mind to 20%, we said that we had sent the food straight back and there was no reason for us to pay, he later agreed to this after...

3 of us came here for food and drinks, we was extremely disappointed with the food however we was not going to even write a review until we was approached by the very rude waiter.

We ordered chicken and steak and another dish the chicken and steak was very blend/ the texture was strange and the taste was not normal we had one bite of the food and asked the waiter if he could please return the food as we do not wish to eat here one of us still ate the salmon dish.

-The waiter said okay and another waiter came to speak to us he was very abrupt and asked the issue when explained he replied with that’s your opinion to which we replied we are not being rude however we do not want to end up unwell with the unusual taste the meat had he then replied he knows what he has is good.

when paying the bill the same rude waiter was very patronising and said don’t do this ever again (like we are children) we explained we are not being rude can we please just settle the bill.

The man then said I don’t normally do this but “I will do 50 erm 20 recent off the bill” we replied no we will pay for what we have eaten as the food we did not eat got sent back he then replied “so you think it’s okay I have lost money and now throwing it in the bin”

We was still polite and stated no we have explained already so can we pay for the food and drinks we have eaten and leave to which he agreed to however still managed to give us 3 euros...

Lords bar......what can I say? We found this bar just down the road from our hotel on the first night and ended up visiting every night of our stay. David and the rest of his staff were just so friendly from day one, they make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. There is seating inside and out, with a view out to sea. The drinks are very reasonably priced as well. The cocktails were a big hit with all of us. There are even TVs available, if you're a sports fan as well, so the 2024 Euro's were on.
