After visiting this place a few times we decided to have dinner there. After many phone-calls that nobody answers I walked over to the place 6pm and made a reservation for a table 6.30pm. I decided to wait outside this Mosto restaurant, for my girlfriend to finish her work, drinking a beer. After she arrived 6.30pm we were told they gave away our table to another couple. We left this Mosto bar and went to Bahia Bar on Meia Praia. A very nice restaurant with good wines where they answer the phone to make a reservation and keep the table and know how to service their regular clients.
Second review after 2 years đ We know the owner Kiko already for a long time before from Tasca de Kiko and later Mosto. Very friendly restaurant owner who loves to treat his clients good. We had some different experiences with his first crew and co owner but we heard they left and there was a new crew. So we gave it another chance. Knowing that he is always a good host we went there again to try and enjoy. You have a wide selection of wines you can choose from. Nice small dishes of good tasty food. And the service is top. We are happy to go there again and enjoy the food, wines and...
Read moreMosto Wine Bar is a real gem for great wine and delicious tapas served by Kiko, the owner and his wonderful staff who make all visitors very welcome.
Kiko and his team are passionate about great wine and delicious food, specialising, of course in Portuguese wine, sourced from local vineyards from all over Portugal. and to my knowledge, Mosto offers the best selection of wines in Lagos.
Wine connoisseurs are in for a real treat in Mosto; it's the equivalent of Aladin's Cave for wine. For wine novices like me, the team always guides you in a very friendly way. The clientele is international, and everyone is made to feel welcome, ex pats, Portuguese locals, and holidaymakers mix freely and everyone is so friendly that someone visiting on their own as I did, when I first visited when I moved to Lagos is made feel very welcome by the team and clientele and very soon you have new friends

We dropped into Mosto last night â a table for seven, which can be a tall order anywhere. But from the moment we arrived, you could feel the calm control of people who know what theyâre doing.
The manager and his team didnât just find us a space â they made one. No fuss, no fluster, just smooth coordination and genuine effort to make us feel welcome. That kind of awareness and teamwork? Itâs the difference between service and hospitality.
Then came the wine. Each recommendation hit the mark like a perfectly tuned note â thoughtful, confident, and clearly curated by someone who understands their craft. Pair that with tapas that felt almost divine â food of the gods, no exaggeration â and youâve got a spot that turns dinner into an experience.
Mosto isnât just another bar; itâs Lagosâ best-kept secret â or at least, it was.
When service, atmosphere, and flavour all align like that, you donât just remember it â you plan your next visit before...
