Everything on the menu is delicious. Homemade cherry jam, pastries, breakfast pancakes amazing, Danish breakfast super good, Brie, blueberries sandwich melts in your mouth! I ate here 3 times, had I found this place sooner I would have eaten here everyday. I am very picky about food. Everything to the homemade salad dressing to the soft boil eggs are made with so much love. The owner greets you and she shows how happy she is to see you! There is free water, coffee is great! Best coffee in town. Pricing is 7 euro to about 9 euros. You get a punch card. Everyone is welcome. Close to bus station. Travelers are welcome to wait here and relax. It's a jewel! You must try it. I'm so happy I did. All the flavors of different combination and healthy choices. Amazing 5 stars! Thank you alex for a wonderful experience.

The vibe, service, and quality of the food at this coffee shop is unmatched. Shau (sorry I forgot the spelling of your name) was so kind and friendly to my group during our visit to Lagos. The espresso was delicious, citrusy and the perfect texture. A lot of the places in Lagos had a watery, overly burnt espresso,but Alex was legit. The main dishes like the Danish breakfast and the shrimp toast were flavorful, filling, and fun. The pastries were also great! We got the cinnamon bun and it was tasty! We really wanted the match white chocolate bun but they ran out. Next time I'm in Lagos I'm definitely going to be paying Alex a visit!

I recently visited Alex Coffee for brunch, and it was an exceptional experience! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy vibe that made it perfect for a relaxing meal. I had the brunch, paired with their coffee and cheesecake, and everything was absolutely delicious. We visited Alex twice in one day, once for breakfast and again for a late lunch.

For breakfast, I ordered the overnight oats, which was delicious, though it had quite a few thyme stems(?) that was distracting and I had to eventually pick out. The cappuccino with oat milk was standard.

Later, we wanted to get poke but found out they were closed so we ended up going back to Alex. My partner had the salmon Caesar salad (which was delicious), and I ordered the chicken bowl with a mango latte (one of their specialty drinks). Unfortunately, the chicken was very dry and lacked flavor, and the iced mango latte tasted like a regular latte with no mango at all.

Overall, I’d give it closer to 3.5 stars: breakfast was above average, but lunch was disappointing. For context, I got everything as takeout — though that shouldn’t affect flavor. I’m sure some of the other menu options are...

I'm thrilled to have stumbled upon the ALEX coffee spot during my stay in Lagos. Whenever I arrive in a new place, my top priority is finding the best coffee around. After trying a few popular spots in Lagos, I was delighted to find that Alex not only matched its cool and inviting interior but also served excellent coffee. I've been returning daily ever since. The consistency of their coffee has only gotten better with each visit, which isn't surprising given how much care the barista team puts into their craft. I also want to give a big shoutout to the friendly team who always greet you with a smile and are happy to give you an overview of what is on offer each day.
