Part of the staff are very unpleasant! I sent a message on Facebook to this place before to go, asking if they will broadcast a match. With the positive answer I walked 2km. Just on my arrival the waiter said if the match have extra time, I will need to find somewhere else to go. In the middle of the sencind half, he turned off one of the tv, the one that I was watching, because a band will play soon. I have to watch the end of the match in a tv very far from me ( I’m miopi so it was basically not watch anymore!) i just think they should decide if every people are welcome. I felt I little bit for being there to watch the match and as soon as another type of customer was arriving, they just did not care about us anymore. Disgusted by the attitude of the “owner”. Went to watch rugby but he was blinkered to football and told us a group of 20 to go to another establishment if we wanted to watch and have rugby audio with football only kicking off an hour later. He spoke to me like a was a piece of trash. I live in Lagos and have supported his establishment during the quiet winter months and always bought our visitors there. Never again will I go spend a dime at his establishment and will tell all and sundry not to support this business. There are many other places in the Marina that will bend over backwards to make you welcome - rather support them. Out of all the choices for fish and chips in Lagos we thought The Lighthouse would be a safe choice. The location is great overlooking the marina but there are many other options with same great view. The battered fish had so much batter used it was uncooked to a mushy dough inside. The fish was cooked so we scraped it out. When pointing this out the server clearly agreed seeing the uneaten batter but said nothing could be done as we ate the inside fish. We were charged full price and for what you get even if done right was over priced compared to other locations. Yes we should have stopped and got her attention immediately, our bad. Too many other choices in Lagos with good food and caring servers....
