Cardamomo leiria — Restaurant in Leiria

For Indian Food Terrible ..Well My wife and I have visited many Indian restaurants in many countries , this one has to be the worst ever .. My wife very rarely complains but she could not eat it , it was that bad .. We ask for Peshwari Naan bread , they could not make it , only Garlic Naan was offered and that was served half cooked and we had to send It back to be cooked more , even then there was no taste .. Our main meal both had Chicken curry , one mild one we ask for hot like a Vindaloo curry … The Chicken was still on the bone with the skin as well , never seen that in any other Indian Restaurant ( we did complain but the owners attitude was ,”well it is like that in India .. This is not India ) , with sauce just pored over it and nothing like a Vindaloo curry , just a very mild sauce with hardly any taste. Also for what we have very little , well over priced … Will be bad , No .. For this restaurant I assume the good reviews are ones about the Portuguese Menu food .. The Indian Menu food we certainly will not recommended it to anyone .. One more thing we were not amused about the restaurant inside was swarming with flies an/d not even hot weather yet . WE will certainly not be...

Extremely rude staff. We were yelled at on the phone for calling -well before time! - to politely cancel a reservation made for two due to unexpected family reasons. The man accused me of being the ruin of restaurants (the hell?) and that reservations should not be cancelled as it was extremely rude to do so… (and yet I thought the rude thing would be not to call beforehand?). Anyway, I’m not sure whatever is going on with the staff there or if he was having a bad day but really this was unbelievable, I was truly appalled. Just to add that this would be a first visit so I cannot comment on the food or anything else, but to avoid unhinged staff I would recommend you stay away...

We had a somewhat conflicting experience there. The location and atmosphere were brilliant and the staff was friendly. But the food didn't match a relatively high price (and a lot of extras that were brought to the table without asking for them and afterwards charged). The fish was dry and seemed not that fresh, it had some bones still in. Chicken (although stewed) was a bit raw on the inside and had little bone chards in it. And the fact that they only accepted Portuguese cards for paying was a bit...
