For sure a place to recommend.

The staff is super friendly and very helpful, they serve you always with a laugh on their face. They also were prepared to take care of our pet and had ( multiple ) water dispensers.

The food is absolutely amazing, I have tasted a lot of Brazilian food and tried a lot of Brazilian restaurants and Rei Arthur has one of the best dishes I have ever tasted. If you are not familiar with Brazilian food I recommend you to try one of their pasteis and their coxinha, you will not regret it!

The restaurant is well located in the center of Leiria, you have public transport close by. The have a personalized playlist with a lot of good songs. You have the option to sit outside or inside. Now with the new rules of the government a vacation prove is required and will be asked the entrace to be able to sit inside on Fridays starting 19.00 until Sunday.

The price of the food is really cheap for the quantity and quality that you get, for sure worth it. The prices of the alcoholic drink on the other hand are a little expensive with an exception of their beers, wines and shots.

I think my three stars is justifiable so here we go. From taking the order to actually getting food that was 45 minutes!. It wasn't a complicated order of two avocado toasts with extra eggs. As you can see in the pictures it looked ok. The toast, the bacon and the avocado you can't really get it wrong but on closer inspection the eggs were poached in plastic (cling film and overcooked )I had to remove bits of plastic from my poached eggs. (See last picture!) I mean poached eggs come on. It's the basic level of any decent chef. Finally asked for the bill and a coffee. There's 15 minutes of my life. I'll never get back. This place has got so much potential being really good. Maybe they were just having an off day. I don't know but I won't...

We ordered as starter a dish of chorizo with a chicken bowl and the fish of the day. We knew after that it was all home-made food so okay.

The only thing is: how could you get a chorizo as starter in 45min-1h? The chorizo is not homemade come on 🤷🏻‍♂️ Others customers get their starters earlier than us and those were supposed to take more time 🤷🏻‍♂️

The fish of the day was served with too much olive oil but was good. The chicken bowl had too many sliced chicken with not enough cucumber and courgette. I could not finish it 🤭
