HABITAT — Restaurant in Leiria

We just moved a few minutes walk away from Habitat and are checking out restaurants in the area. We walk in, early Friday night, and only two tables are occupied at this time (ours and one other). We were ignored when we walked in and ignored for a good ten minutes as we sat at the table, no menu or anything, while the staff at the bar were busy talking.

It was very clear they weren’t interested in serving customers at that time. So we got up and walked out, while the staff continued to chat and didn’t even care they were losing customers. And as locals in the area, we are not the customers they want to be losing because we would be repeat business.

So, we were on our way to grab lunch in Leiria and stumbled upon this place on Google Maps. Korean food caught our eye, and we were instantly hooked! The place had a great vibe and atmosphere, and we ordered pad Thai and nasi goreng with kimchi on the side. The service was friendly and attentive, but I must admit, the food didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The nasi goreng was a bit too sweet, and the pad Thai lacked flavor. Despite all the ingredients being present, they didn’t blend together to create the authentic Asian taste we were expecting. This is just my personal opinion, but from other reviews, it seems like the food flavor is a major draw here. Maybe it’s just me, or maybe the chef had a bad day. Visiting this place not 1st time, nothing has been improved. Extremely slow and drawn-out service. The staff seem uninterested in working efficiently. Taking an order can easily take 30 minutes, and waiting for food — over an hour. No matter how tasty the food is, it’s not worth it. Don’t ruin your experience and don’t waste your precious time. I came to eat, not to spend half a day waiting for who knows what. This is not fine dining — it’s a complete disregard for people’s time.
