is a culinary gem that lives up to its name. From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.

The restaurant's décor is a delightful blend of traditional and modern elements, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, always eager to provide recommendations and ensure that your every need is met.

But the true star of the show is the food. The menu features an array of fresh seafood dishes, all prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. The flavors are simply divine, with each bite bursting with freshness and flavor.

I had the pleasure of trying the grilled octopus, which was cooked to perfection. The octopus was tender and flavorful, and the accompanying grilled vegetables were perfectly seasoned. I also sampled the seafood stew, which was a symphony of flavors and textures. The stew was packed with shrimp, mussels, clams, and fish, all cooked in a rich and flavorful broth.

For dessert, I indulged in the traditional Portuguese custard tarts, which were absolutely heavenly. The tarts were flaky and golden, with a sweet and creamy filling that was simply irresistible.

Overall, my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. The food was outstanding, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was delightful. If you're looking for a truly memorable seafood dining experience in Lisbon, is the place to be. Here are some of the things that I loved about

Fresh, delicious seafood: The restaurant sources its seafood from local markets daily, ensuring that the ingredients are always fresh and of the highest quality.

Creative and flavorful dishes: The menu features a variety of innovative seafood dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds.

Attentive and knowledgeable staff: The staff is always happy to answer your questions and make recommendations based on your preferences.

Warm and inviting atmosphere: The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel...

We opted for a traditional restaurant that is used by local people. We saw fantastic reviews so booked in advance a late dinner. I definitely advise one to book in advance as this restaurant is very popular. The staff upon arrival were very friendly and the atmosphere was vibrant everyone chatting away. We went by restaurants recommendations including monk fish stew which I hadn't had since a young and clam dish. We should have paced ourselves as the bread entries were so filling and delicious. The service was impeccable and quick and they even gave us a goodie bag to take leftovers. A beautiful restaurant and we will return when we next visit Lisbon. Thank you to...

Ever since I found O Maravilhas, still at their old location, I have been returning whenever possible. Just my very favorite tasca in Lisbon. Carlos and Luisa are wonderful hosts, offering authentic Portuguese dishes at highest quality, tasty, unpretentious, fish as well as meat dishes. Their arroz de pato is the best I tasted and the filete de peixe (with a choice of different fish) is just sensational. Try the Bacalhau when it is on the daily changing menu And the chocolate cake is absolutely divine. All of this at very modest prices. Very popular with the local community, O Maravilhas can get quite busy. Reservations highly...

It's one of the best and most authentic Portuguese restaurants I've visited! The lovely waitress explained each item on the menu. She also gave me suggestions based on my preference. I ended up ordering a fried cod fish fillet with tomato rice. I wondered if that would be enough, but my doubts were squashed when I saw how enormous the proportions were! The tomato rice really complimented the fried cod fish. I will definitely visit it again, hopefully with a friend so I can try more on their menu!

This Tasca is as authentic as it gets. We got rabbit (coelho) and sole (filetes de peixe) with an amazing "grelo" rice. We missed the octopus rice as it was sold out. As desserts, a wonderful chocolate cake and an orange cake. Only drawback is that you gotta be patient as the couple (which are likely to be the owners) at the only servers and the restaurant is very popular. Definitely worth our detour to Alcantara.
