4.5 stars for the food and the great waiter Alex (thank you!). 0 star for the management of the restaurant.
The manager told us to wait for 10 minutes, and we could get a table for six if the guests reserved that table did not show up. (They’ve already been late for 5 minutes) So we waited. And we did get the manager’s permission to use that table after 10 min. The guests who reserved that table finally arrived when we were browsing the menu. They should have been there 30 min ago! The manager told us to leave the table !! A proper person should learn to keep their word. He was impatient and refused to communicate. We were told to wait outside (he couldn’t even give us an estimation of the waiting time). We ended up fitting six of us at a table for four and had a not very comfortable (of course) meal.
Overall, I would give a 3/5 for this place. Again, all stars are for the food and Alex. Alex is a cool and happy guy. Kudos to him!

Read moreThis is a small restaurant, without high end design and furnishings, but tasteful and beautiful in every way that's important to me. i arrived just after opening, Friday night, solo, and a table was quickly found. Lucky for me, as it filled up quickly with what i would guess to be a pile of local people, families, a very convivial buzz. it's not a huge menu, which to me is always most likely a strong positive. I'd have loved to have been with others, just to try more items, but had a small side salad and one of their specialties - the Garoupa prawn rice dish. Just outstanding, for freshness, balance, and a very generous portion. it took me to my limit. my 2 glasses of house wine were excellent. Charming, attentive, and extra English friendly service added strongly to the comfort level. a very warming experience in every direction. it will be my 1st stop in this area without question, hopefully in the very...
Read moreThis was by far the best culinary experience in Lisbon. After a day spent in Belem monuments, we settled down in this cosy restaurant and let ourselves be pampered by the staff. As starter we tried the extra delicious fish soup and the Ameijoas à Bulhao Pato. However our main and most delicious meal was the Arroz de Garoupa that was served in a huge pot for a portion suitable for 4 person. Last but not least we tried the filets. Everything served there is high quality and tasteful and the prices are normal for the quality served. This explains why this is a choice not only for tourists but for locals as well. Months after the trip to Lisbon, we still recall this tasteful experience and highly recommend it to all visitors that aim to travel to Lisbon anytime. PS: Do not hesitate to follow the advice of the polite waiter, almost all our dishes were upon...
