I had the pleasure of dining at Agulha no Palheiro tonight and I must say, it was an incredible experience. From start to finish, everything was perfect.
We started off with the guacamole, which was absolutely delicious. It was fresh, flavorful, and had just the right amount of spice. It was the perfect appetizer to start our meal.
Next up was the tuna steak, which was cooked to perfection. The outside was seared to a crispy golden brown while the inside was juicy and tender. It was accompanied by a side of sautéed mushrooms which were also cooked to perfection.
Overall, the quality of the food was exceptional and the price was more than reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious meal in a cozy atmosphere. It was truly a 5-star experience and I can't wait to come back again!
Oh, I almost forgot to mention the dessert! We couldn't resist trying the chocolate cake and it was a decision we definitely did not regret. It was served warm with a generous scoop of ice cream on the side. The cake was rich, moist and decadent, with just the right amount of sweetness. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal.
Overall, Agulha no Palheiro exceeded our expectations in every way. The food was exceptional, the service was attentive and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. If you're looking for a top-notch dining experience, look no further than Agulha no Palheiro. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. 5...
Read moreEasily one of the best meals of my life. It starts with the restaurant itself: one room, unassuming, clearly not pandering to tourists, one server, two chefs, five or six tables. It felt like eating at a friend's home, if the friend was a world class chef just making dishes they loved. The service and the music couldn't have been better: helpful nice multilingual and with wonderful vibes. Then the food. We started with an olive paste that was simple and devine. Then a mushroom dish unlike anything I'd ever had before. We asked each other: is this a soup or just very saucy? Which to me, is heaven. And somehow the next dish was even better: cod that was a mix of cloud-soft flesh and a crunchy humus type dip. It stirred something deep in our souls, and maybe it was the wine, but my partner and I both were overwhelmed with emotion by the end of that dish. The tuna steak was next, and while it couldn't live up to the cod, it was exactly what you'd want in a meat and potatoes type dish, at times tasting as rich and heavy as actual steak. The desserts were a haze but equally delicious. This was the highlight of our trip, and will stay in our hearts for...
Read moreWhat an absolute little gem this place was! It wasn't easy to find, but from the moment we walked in, Joanna greeted us with open arms!
The place itself is very cozy, with an open kitchen concept. The owner/chef Antonio was super friendly and made some of the most delicious food we've ever had in all of Europe!
We started off with an olive tappenade spread with bread, which was fresh and tasty. We then shared the cod fish, which was awesome, especially with the chickpeas puree.
But our favorite dish had to be the Tuna steak with carmellized onions and potatoes. Every bite was a spectacular delicacy, as it was flavorful and masterfully put together!
The local white wine Monologo was awesome, and their specialty cocktails were great. We also loved the chocolate lava cake. This place is an absolute must, especially if you're a foodie like us! Two thumbs way up to Joanna and Antonio for such an incredible...
