I had high expectations of the place but was disappointed. I was the first to walk in at 8:30 am and the only one there. One of the baristas gave off bad vibes and then both of them were SUPER loud, laughing and talking non stop at 8:30 am as if they were in a bar, almost to the point where I asked myself “are they doing this to make me leave?”
After about 45 min of this, a local walked in and as soon as he did, they stopped their loud conversation which I found strange so not sure if this was personal.
The place is tiny and quite dark, the pain u chocolat was stale and tasted like a grocery store one, flat white was ok. Plenty of other friendlier coffee shops with natural light. This place made me feel super uncomfortable...

I'm happy I happened to find Calmô on my last day in Lisbon.

The coffee, I had Columbia on filter, was excellent. Well prepared, balanced, and fruity.
The owner and barista, Danilo, is a legend. He's über friendly, communicative, knows he's beans (no pun intended), and actually smiles (unlike most people in Lisbon.)
