I never write reviews for stuff, because… that's just how I roll. I'm enthusiastic about trying everything, but it takes something really special to make me enthusiastic about what I tried. Which brings us to this: If you want the best ice-cream in Lisbon, look no further. Let me tell you… when it comes to ice-cream, I know my stuff, and I can most assuredly tell you, with the utmost confidence, that the ice-cream in this store is amazingly good. The flavours are strong and pure, and the texture is incredible. The dark chocolate, for instance, is like eating a dark chocolate bar of a high standard, but in a chilled, dense, soft, thick creamy texture, with absolutely no air bubbles. This is the ideal of the Italian gelato in its essence, and if you're into that sort of thing, you should definitely make a trip on purpose to taste it, because it's worth it. They have a pistachio flavoured ice-cream that'll convert you. And they once had a “premium vanilla” flavour that was like no vanilla I've ever tasted in anything: delicate, floral, aromatic, lightly sweet, it changed my view on vanilla. There are also sorbets, very good ones, for sure (today I tried a very good, very strong lemon and peppermint flavour that I'd describe as biting a cold lemon and drinking chilled peppermint tea at the same time, with all the bite of the acidity of the lemon); but it's the gelatos that you really shouldn't miss. Try one of the chocolates, any of them, or all combined. They're great. I have often returned, and I will continue to do so. They sell what is definitely my favourite (no chunk) ice-creams. My only (very small) reservation is that I miss a warmer treatment from the employees to match the cold ice-cream, but I really have no complaints. They are professional and serious. Oh, and I haven't mentioned the prices, yet, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's really expensive, because it most definitely is not. A three flavour cup goes for €3,80, which I find a very good price for the quality. So, do I recommend this business? Well… only if you're in Lisbon and...
