Never judge a book by the cover. Outside architecturally the building will never win any awards. The location is perfect 3 mins walk from Roma metro station on the green line. Whereas everywhere in Lisboa seems to be a steep incline this is flat and easy access to hotel located just off Av de Roma.
Warm welcome door man opens door and assists you to the reception. Reception excellent spoken English and explain everything especially the WIFI code and breakfast on 1st floor and gym. Very quiet inside. Two lifts available to get you up to floor 11.

This is best hotel in the Roma vicinity. Highly recommend staying at Lutecia Smart Design Hotel as perfect location for stepping stone to sightseeing throughout Lisboa. Metro station, buses and train less that 5 minutes away. Easy comfortable access to everywhere in Lisboa and beyond. Above all the relief one gets from being flat location becomes apparent when discovering the steep hills of Lisboa. Excellent hotel and highly recommended a very high quality four...

steer clear of this hotel in Portugal. Despite its promises of modern amenities and high-quality service, the reality falls painfully short. The bathroom fixtures were substandard, and it was evident that corners were cut wherever possible: furniture was made of cheap plastic, the complimentary toiletries were minimal, consisting of tiny bottles of shower gel and shampoo, and we were even greeted with the remaining toilet paper roll from previous guests. The carpets throughout every floor were disgustingly dirty, making Portuguese streets seem pristine in comparison. There were additional charges for everything—no welcome drink, not even a complimentary cup of coffee. Water was priced at €2.5, and coffee at around €1.5. The breakfast was a disaster: not only were the food items of poor quality, with sausages that had likely never seen meat, scrambled eggs resembling egg soup, and bacon that looked like spoiled meat, but also the food was cold and unappetizing. Juices that should have been chilled were warm, and the coffee tasted like tinted water.
Service was remarkably unprofessional. One felt constantly watched, and plates were whisked away the moment the last bite was taken, adding unnecessary stress to the meal experience. The most frustrating moment was leaving a full cup of coffee and returning to find the table cleared—understandable once, but unforgivable when it happened again the next day foe the second time in an almost empty restaurant with plenty of staff.
Wasting more than €160 for 2 nights for such an experience is outrageous. The quality of this hotel, in comparison to German standards, would barely scrape two to three stars. The overall quality was abysmally low, making it a total disappointment!!!

Read moreThis hotel is above the busy inter-city train station (not the Metro). You can easily search Google Maps and see the bird's view of the hotel with all the train rails. There are 24/7 cargo and passenger trains that either pass through at high speed or stop and depart with loud noises - the windows/walls shake hard all the time. Practically, there is no way to go to sleep, to rest, or to have peace. All rooms have more or less the same issue. The hotel is located 30+ minutes far away from downtown/city center. It costs 30-40 euros for a taxi and 5 euros for the Metro to go to the city each way (the bus is 2 euros and will take 1+ hour). Overall, the hotel is old, dark, and not clean (especially the walls and carpets). There are no English TV channels. The breakfast area is behind the elevator on the 1st floor in a depressing, smelly room. The breakfast is a combination of very cheap foods, costing 12, 15, 17, or 20 euros, depending on who you talk to and when. FYI - one can have an excellent breakfast across the street in a beautiful bar for 5-7 euros. There is no gym, swimming pool, business center, lobby, or anything else that is routine in a 4-star hotel. They will not give you the room if you don't have 2 euros/night/person to pay them in advance. Except for one receptionist girl, others were either rude or careless about you. If you make a mistake and reserve a room there, at least avoid talking to Rodolfo - he believes the hotel's guests are responsible for his miserable life, and he is there to punish you. Note that you can reserve/find a good hotel in or near the city center with...
