I don't usually write reviews, but in this case I feel ripped off. I ordered a grilled octopus and got a different dish. I asked the waiter: "Is this octopus?" He said "yes". I was sure it wasn't octopus, so I asked a different waiter: "What fish is this?" They said "cod". The first waiter then said he misunderstood my order. I said I didn't like cod (which is true), so he took my dish away. I had to wait another 15 minutes, but I got my octopus (which was good by the way). I thought everything was all right, but in the end I got a bill for both dishes. I asked the waiter if I had to pay for both. They said "yes". I didn't want to make a scene and argue over 15 euro, so I just paid it, but I will never come back to...

It was my worst Portugal experience food wise. The octopus felt old, greasy, overly salty, chewy and overall just tasted horrible. Same goes for the greens. I couldn’t finish it, it was so not pleasant to say the least. The waiters didn’t speak English or could understand our order properly. I do not recommend this place.

As much as I loved Portuguese food in other places, this one was a disappointing end of the trip.

PS: I also didn’t understand why the waiter served bread, butter and other things that were not complimentary and we didn’t order.

One of my favorite places to eat in Lisboa. A low key relaxing place by the river. A local spot. Food is generally good, keep it to the chefs choice. However, once in awhile their service drops. So beware if they are super busy stay away We went last night and sat at our table for 1 1/2 hour totally ignored after receiving a tiny starter, no apology, no offer for more drinks, no Nothing.
