Unforgettable Culinary Adventure in the Heart of Lisbon!
During my most recent visit to Lisbon, I had the pleasure of dining at Copo de Mar. I often visit the city, and this time I was treated to a truly delightful dining experience that I just had to share!
Upon entering the restaurant, I immediately noticed the warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was a pleasant mix of rustic touches with extreme attention to detail, creating a comfortable setting for our meal.
We were greeted by our friendly waiter, who promptly helped us navigate the menu. For appetizers, we chose the tuna tartar and the oysters. The tuna tartar was a refreshing and light starter, with just the right amount of seasoning. As for the oysters, I simply couldn't resist – they were fresh and briny, a real treat for the senses.
For my main course, I opted for the fish of the day, which was cooked to perfection. The flavors were exceptional, and the accompanying "farofa com banana" was a delightful and unique side dish that perfectly complemented the fish.
To cap off our meal, our table shared the mango and pistachio gelato, as well as the dulce de leche cheesecake. The gelato was incredibly smooth and refreshing, while the cheesecake was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had – rich, creamy, and utterly satisfying.
Copo de Mar also offered a great selection of local wines. Our waiter's recommendation of a crisp Vinho Verde was the perfect accompaniment to our seafood-centric meal.
To top off our memorable evening, the friendly host surprised us with a complimentary digestive cachaça from Brazil – a warm and generous gesture that made us feel even more at home in this fantastic restaurant.
Overall, I highly recommend Copo de Mar for anyone visiting Lisbon. The combination of excellent food, warm service, and a cozy atmosphere made it a memorable experience that I can't wait to enjoy again on my next trip to this...
Read moreIf you're searching for an unforgettable lunch or dining experience in Lisbon, look no further than this exceptional restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the tone for an incredible meal. The staff greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home, offering attentive and courteous service throughout. We started with various appetizers, all of which were exquisite. It was difficult to choose a favorite, as they were all incredible. We had Black Olives with Citrus Zest, Banana Chips and Bread, Oysters with Salmon Roe and Échalote Vinaigrette, Gazpacho with Melon and Cherry Tomatoes, Prosciutto Crumbles, and Shrimp with Tomato Sofrito and Golf Sauce. For the main course, I had Shrimp with Pumpkin Ravioli and Orange in Bisque Sauce, and it was out of this world. My husband opted for Baked Cod with Mashed Potatoes topped with Parsley Pesto and Roasted Peppers, along with Caramelized Garlic. It was just as delicious as my dish. For dessert, we had Cheesecake with Dulce de Leche. I was a bit skeptical because dulce de leche can be very sweet, but it was absolutely fantastic. Each course was beautifully plated and bursting with flavor, reflecting the chef's creativity and passion for high-quality ingredients. The selection of both traditional and innovative dishes ensured there was something for everyone, and everything we tried exceeded expectations. The wine list was thoughtfully curated, pairing perfectly with our meal and enhancing the overall experience. Our server was very attentive without being intrusive, very knowledgeable about the menu, and offered great suggestions. The restaurant manager visited our table and was very engaged with every detail of our menu choices. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service. We felt well taken care of and will definitely be returning on our next trip to Lisbon. A Fantastic experience. Highly...
Read moreWhere do I start! As soon as we entered at 09:23PM this small restaurant. The female VERY VERY RUDE Waitress told us with very bad manners « you have to order food before the kitchen closes at 10PM ». Her very bad attitude and ZERO skills continued through the whole time we spent there.
1- We asked for coca cola with ice and lemon, she did only bring the coke while other customers (as you can see in the picture have there coca cola served as it should be. My husband had to ask again for the ice cause the drink started to get flat and warm. We never got the lemon slices.
2- When that same waitress wanted to clear the table from the small plates she literally swiped them with such a force and anger, like what????
3- We ordered the shrimp ravioli for 22€ each for it to be served COLD and the ravioli is under cooked.
4- At 10:10 PM a White couple comes in and got seated with such a smile and their orders were getting taking care of. Talk discrimination much!
Our total went up to 49€ for a stale coke, a cold ravioli and they had the nerves to ask for a tip when paying. A tip for what exactly?
Overall, we had a very bad experience with the service and food. How come that a supposedly 4.9 stars review restaurant serves COLD food.
Very overrated place, the reviews are so misleading to the point that they don’t match what you...
