I went to have dinner with my two guests from London, we were looking for vegan and something authentic (being exhausted by the touristic options in Lisbon). Walking past, Dona Flor always stroke me as quite unassuming and cute little place, so we decided to try our luck. Immediately when we arrived, our waiter proved to be a humourous and a genuine guy who made us all laugh. We immediately felt at home, mom´s kitchen vibes!
For starters we had the bread with fresh and tasty olives, cheers to the kitchen for that! I had the Camarao with garlic butter sauce. The sauce could´ve been a bit more buttery and I was missing the salsa, nevertheless, I enjoyed the taste of the prawns.
Even though the menu is small, we picked the vegan feijoada and were very pleasantly surprised. For dessert we had the fresh tasting coconut and lime ice cream, yummy!
With dinner I had a generous glass of tasty red wine, and felt very content. We heard that the restaurant had sold out some of the food, which is great for them - not so good for us, but I guess we´ll have to return soon. :)
I was a bit nervous bringing my friends to this place as they are strictly vegan, but they felt very well taken care of and we left feeling happy, not only fed in our mouths, but also in our souls. A genuine and a humourous table service goes a long way. Overall, it was a lovely, heartwarming night, cheers to the lovely service people in the front and in...

We actually found this place walking, cause we didn't know about it, but thank god we get there.
They treated us very kindly, they recommended us to try the cod with cream and some pork cheeks in Porto wine and mashed potatoes.
It was awesome...we were drooling...really recommended!!
And they invited us to a salad without us asking for it, which was also very tasty! And it was a detail on his part.
We had this plates, an olives and 2 beers, and we paid about 26€!!! It was a very good price! I...
Read moreBy far my favorite restaurant in Lisbon. We had creamy cod with spinach, Portuguese duck rice, cheese plate, and chocolate mousse for dessert. All incredible, the mousse possibly the best I've had in my life. So good I posted an empty picture because we finished it before we remembered to get a shot.
Our server (possibly the manager?) whose name I unfortunately did not get, was incredibly engaging and kind. He have my friend and I great tips for our visit to Sintra the next day.
Definitely looking forward to visiting again my next...
