A Praça — Restaurant in Lisbon

We had dinner here around 9pm on a Friday. We were seated for a few minutes, and a woman (who we later learned was a manager) took our order. A different person brought over a bottle of wine, but brought a white instead of a red. He quickly fixed that and all seemed well. 45 minutes later we still did not have our appetizers and no one had talked to us or stopped at our table since dropping off the wine. After an hour, we finally got up and talked to a manager and he said he would check. 20 minutes later, we had heard nothing and still had no food. We talked to the manager again, and he told us our food had been dropped at the wrong table and they were remaking it. Finally, after another 15 minutes we had appetizers. The squid and the blood sausage were both very good when they finally arrived.

The entrees arrived a little while later: octopus, steak, and a crab and scallop pastry. The octopus was pretty good and the other two were not good at all. At the end they gave us a dessert on the house. We then finally spoke again to the woman who had originally taken our order, and when I asked to pay she said something like "you need to wait this other table was first." This was actually a table who arrived more than an hour after us. I didnt say anything, but was fuming and considered walking out without paying. When we confronted her about our long wait due to her mistake ordering our food for the wring table, she laughed at us. "Me? I'm the manager." Yes, well, you took the order, screwed it up, and no one took care of us for an hour. And, they still charged us full price for everything except the free dessert that we didnt want or order. ...

NOT FOR TOURISTS Been here about three times as we had our airbnb right beside LX Factory. i had to check again which confirmed my suspicions. The staff does not care about you. Ive heard them and the locals visiting poke fun at tourists coming in and they will not put much effort into giving you a nice experience. We got a slight impression the place had closed down after waiting for ages outside, but obviously could not tell as the locals were laughing and having fun. As soon as they left all the heaters and lights went out. Cocktails were great but there are so many other places in the factory that are worth your attention. Portugal is so friendly, the people here are so nice! Just not the staff here. You are not welcome, forced to sit somewhere else, ignored or served in plastic cups. The prices are spiked up, eh it’s just a bad place. Go into the city and visit Pink street, go to small cafes and talk to the staff and you will find that portugal is not represented by this place.

LX Factory:

Good coffee and breakfast: Fred’s Fast, Filling and wonderful pizza: Messe Nice beer and wine at: Beers! And that one canned tuna place or whatever it is (don’t like canned fish that much), super super friendly.

Don’t waste...

I cannot give one star because of the location which is really nice. However, the dinner was a disaster from the service, to the food, to the bill. Even though the menu says French fries, we were told no French fries were available. I asked another girl if they had it and yes they did. We got a bucket of chips which were presented as their fries, the same that come with the burger, which are chips but still gets two different names on the menu. Don't know what to think about it. Furthermore I ordered a beer (on the menu either 40cl or 60cl) the guy didn't ask me the size, then they arrived with the huge one. I said I never said I wanted that one, the owner tells me he's sorry but they don't have 40cl beer, which is now weird to think about because it's on the menu and it's tap. Food.. We've not been asked about the burger patty (rare/medium etc) and mine for example was raw and chips were super oily, nachos old.
