Nice environment, staff were very friendly and the food quality is impeccable. Unfortunately I have to subtract a star from my review because me and my partner, we felt ripped off. Just because we ordered the same dish, the Feijoada, and they brought one pot of Feijoada Carioca, and one bowl of each side, like rice, farofa and other stuff, but only one each. We first thought they made it double, because we were two and we ordered two. But no. A gentlemen just arrived and was in the table just beside ours, and ordered a Feijoada Carioca. And he got exactly the same amount of Feijoada and the sides we both had. Really, exactly the same. Which made me think the obvious, they only served us, one Feijoada instead of two. And when we ordered the check, they charged for two Feijoadas. Would be alright, we ordered two, but when we realised we paid for two Feijoadas and had only one, we got very frustrated. Doesn't change the fact that the food quality was great, the staff was nice, and the environment was also pleasant. But the ripoff feeling took away the joy of the experience. Not fair at all. Anyways, despite that, they deserve at...
Read moreGreat ambience and service… food taste great but although it is branded as Brazilian cuisine food dishes are not essentially Brazilian but rather a recreation. We’ve ordered few dishes “moqueca”, “butternut & shrimp” and “bobó de camarão”… moqueca was great but didn’t have the boiling tomato sauce to a pure tomato style and the butternut & shrimp was roasted and not dished in the butternut/ pumpkin as traditional… all tasted great but missed the Brazilian flavours of coriander, coconut sauce, vegetables and fresh salad & “pirão” with the moqueca. Overall a great experience of a recreation of Brazilian cousine but don’t expect the rich tropical flavours. Cheese bread and the starters were great and so was the caipirinhas and the...
Read moreYou have not even been seated and Flor, the owner, is already upselling caipirinhas. "WOW! You are you on a diet!" was her rude remark because we wanted to share a Feijoada. "Would you like a bit more rice?" Sure, to later find out is a $3 "courtesy." Flor was clearly upset (and rude) when the table next to us wanted to drink only water and not her tiny, overpriced, full of ice, cocktails.
We are done with this restaurant and specially with the owner, which is a shame because the food is good and the prices are somewhat reasonable for the area. No need to be pushy, rude...
