I’ve been to Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Greece etc and I’ve tried Mediterranean all around the U.S., I can confidently say Barouk is some of the BEST Mediterranean food I’ve had around the world.
Usually I do a ton of research and skip out on new restaurants, but I just happened to be walking around LX factory and didn’t check the reviews, but I’m so shocked. This place should have 1000s of 5 star reviews.
Food:
Puffed pita tasted like my mother freshly put a roti on the stove and handed me a fresh puffed pita in front of me. The 3 sauces accompanied it are delicious! It’s a yogurt pesto oil sauce, a red creamy spicy sauce, and olive oil.
We got each the falafel and Chicken pitas! But we’re incredibly outstanding and it comes with a side of fries with a mayo red aioli sauce that is delicious!
To end, I had no idea this place recently opened up and given I’m the 2nd review, I really wanted to share and highly recommend that in all of Lisboa, I would recommend checking out this restaurant! There’s no lines cause nobody knows about it and it’s so clean.

Read moreBarouk lives up to its name as Lebanese eatery. The food is delicious and made me feel being in the Middle East.
We've had some hot mezzes as starters. The falafel was crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The rakakat cheese rolls were delicious, especially the honey sauce. For mains we had manakoush and a beef skewer. The latter came with potatoes, some veggies and pepper hummus. Super good. Even though we were in hesitant about taking a dessert at first, the staff convinced us to try the chocolate cake. They were raving about it, telling that it was the best. And sure it was. The chocolate was gooey and very tasty. We've also had a mafroukeh (tiramisu), which was also good.
Aside from the food, staff are a stand-out at Barouk. Service was polite yet friendly and proactive. Staff were happy to interact, chat and share their recommendations.
Would definitely recommend to visit when...
Read moreWe chose to have lunch at this restaurant. The drinks and appetizers arrived, but the host only then informed us that one of the dishes wasn’t halal, as it was cooked with alcohol — something we should have been told at the time of ordering. While we were still waiting for the main courses, another staff member came over asking if we had finished and if we wanted the food to-go, we infromed him that we were waiting for the rest of the food to be served, that felt awkward, like we were being rushed out. This was especially surprising since the restaurant was nearly empty, with only one other table occupied. Their behavior was unacceptable. To make things worse, he returned again to ask why we weren’t eating, without giving us space, and kept on insisting to take everything for take away. We couldn't try the rest of the food, as we didn't feel comfortable so we asked for the bill and...
