Hello, I have visited your cafe a few times over the years, at the time the review score was a solid 5, the place looked run down but the coffee was great. Now the shop looks nice and the coffee quality has gone down hill.
At the time you had a hipster British barista girl and the coffee actually tasted nice, I think you had at the time an anaerobic fermentation coffee and that created a very memorable good cup! I visited the cafe today and the coffee tasted very weak, reminded me of Starbucks, no kidding absolutely no body to it, maybe you need an adjustment to your coffee recipe, perhaps you should explore better options for espresso to justify your prices, I would happily pay €10 for a cup regardless of the country that I am in, if it provided me with a unique experience, however the coffee was bland and is not justified at 4.8€ for a small cappuccino with oat milk.
As I really liked the first visit to your shop I provide this feedback and will try it again next time I visit town and happy to amend this review...
Read moreThe staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the table with comfortable chairs provided a good environment for working on my laptop. The pricing was reasonable, with a minimum consumption requirement of 10 euros to utilize the space to work :-)
However, I was disappointed by the limited food options available. The absence of any substantial meal choices (like a simple sandwich) would have improved the experience of a working person (and I would have spent more). The banana bread, pão de queijo, and iced chai latte were satisfactory but nothing exceptional.
Moreover, the state of the bathroom left much to be desired, with a missing toilet seat and a broken faucet needing attention. Additionally, the continuous background music (quite not neutral and in a higher volume than ambient) may not be conducive for those seeking a quiet workspace.
In summary, while the cafe offers a pleasant ambiance and friendly service, there are areas for improvement, particularly in the food selection and maintenance...
Read moreHighly over priced coffee. I entered with a friend of mine. We had an americano and I ordered a galão vegetal. One slice of banana bread to share.
I was shocked to hear that I had to pay 11,60 for that.
€4 for a galão and 60 cents extra just for the normal milk being replaced by oatmilk? Why???
Those are ridiculous prices for Lisbon, what the heck, even in my home town in the Netherlands I pay less for this and there you even get a cookie or a chocolate for free with your coffee.
Then €4 for a slice of bananbread?
This is just insane pricing, and then they didn't even ask me if I wanted to register my numero de contribuinte. I had to explicitly ask for that. Hell yeah, if I feel ripped off by someone, at least pay your taxes.
A once and never again experience. And that is a shame because the space is nice, and the products are good. It just pales by the greed...
