My friend and I visited this restaurant for lunch. Unfortunately, after consuming the food served, we suffered from SEVERE FOOD POISONING, manifested by symptoms such as nausea and vomiting which began within a few hours of the meal.

We consume falafel, babaganoush, Humus and the poisoning is related to one or more of these items.

Due to the severity of the food poisoning, we sought medical assistance and had to undergo treatment to recover. This experience was extremely unpleasant and upsetting, and we are deeply disappointed in your establishment's standards of hygiene and food safety.

At the same day of the intoxication we warn the owner that something was not fresh and that we both were vomiting, so you could check the kitchen. The atitude of the owner was bad since the beginning, never worried or appologying for what happened. When two days after i asked for the refund, he said that this was a scheme, and that i needed to show him a medical statement, that i’ve sent him. Since then, he didnt reply me more.

Today I went to the restaurant to write in the complaint book, he didnt give me. I had to call the police, who went there and forced him to give me.

The attitude of the owner is agressive, rude and uncontrolled. The hygiene of the space is really bad. The only thing good are the Girls working there, that are really nice.

We hope that immediate action will be taken to investigate and correct the conditions that led to this occurrence. In addition, we require a full refund for the cost of the meal and associated medical costs.

We call for an immediate response and appropriate corrective actions to prevent other customers from suffering similar experiences...

Visited Yallah for the first time last week and was utterly disappointed. The food was below average for Middle Eastern in Lisbon with much higher prices. A lunch time meal for 4 people with 2 dips, pita, falafel, 3 main meals between us, one dessert, water and one bottle of wine we paid €150. Even though this is in a trendy area I’d never expect to pay so much for such below average quality food.

On top of that, the way the owner treats his staff is unbearable. As a local to Lisbon for over 5 years, I’ve never seen someone treat their staff so badly. Usually service in Lisbon is exceptional. The waitress was charming and kind while still managing the whole restaurant by herself but being belittled and yelled at by the owner. It was truly terrible to watch.

Now that I scroll through these reviews and read the owners callous responses to the other low star reviews here, I realise he’s terrible to his customers too! I bet he will write something equally awful here. Shame on you. Your behaviour should be reported.

To those that plan to visit I say stay away. This place is awful. I cannot believe it survived covid and certainly hope that the landlord won’t renew their lease again. To the waitress - you deserve so much better and I hope you can find another job soon to escape that...

What an unwelcoming overpriced place! :/ Walked in here mid afternoon for a beer with a friend. We were left to wait because we said we were in just for a drink, but it was only 1 table occupied anyway as it was not regular meal times. After checking with someone in the kitchen and getting back to us, the waitress "allowed" us to seat, but at this point it already felt like they were doing us a favor. Not cool. The menu is ridiculously overpriced. Ordered a craft beer that cost about double as it would anywhere else. While sipping the beer I could see staff in the kitchen not only not wearing masks, but at some point vigorously licking a serving spoon. I'm positive that spoon didn't make it back to the pot, but this is not something customers need to be seeing while sitting at the restaurant. But the worst came at the end, when the waitress added 5% service charge automatically to our bill - not only tip was not deserved after such a straight face and rude vibe, this is actually ILLEGAL here in Portugal. Maybe tourists fall for this thinking 5% is not that much, but locals know this is no good. This is exactly the kind of place that makes Lisbon's restaurant scene stink. A tourist trap that sells expensive food but labels it as "genuine street food"...

A visit I'll never forget Welcome to the Lebanese tourist trap of Lisbon. If you're looking to spend all your holiday money at once this is the right place to be. What you see on this photo is their Kebab main dish. A tiny piece of minced meat for 20 Euros - shameful for a restaurant that positions themselves as "Street Food" (basically just riding the hype wave). Also, 14 Euros for a salad.. Anyways, I addressed this to the waitress, who was friendly but unfortunately couldn't do anything. Also no manager - no responsibility taken. Explanation from the staff: "Yep we know it's expense and we hear this a lot, however 80% of our customers are tourists.". Also - anything they would give extra to their customers is taken off their wage. Side note: No offence to the waitress. Will not recommend, will not go back, will keep writing reviews about this painful experience. Your customer service s*cks.

The place could have the potential to become a hotspot for Israeli cuisine - if food quality matched prices. For - 4 Falafel (fresh, good texture but too greasy), - a small bowl of hummus (didn’t taste as if it was made this morning, and too cold, should be lukewarm) - Zhug (which was the best part) - and pita bread (tasted shrink-wrapped, conserved bread, definitely not freshly baked) I paid €17 Euros or 70 Shekel. I’d be happy to pay that or more for proper Israeli food. However, this place as it is wouldn’t survive in Tel Aviv for more than 2 weeks. With improvements in the kitchen it has great potential because seating outside is nice and the interior looked stunning, almost felt like in Yerusalem or Yafo.

Went there for lunch 2 times. The first time was ok, then second time the chef messed up our order — twice. We were sitting outside so I realized he was the one taking smoke breaks. When he came to talk to us, he was arrogant, and he wouldn’t react to my Arabic when I tested him. So I asked the waitress where the owners are from. That’s when I realized it’s an Israeli owned restaurant. Usually I wouldn’t have a huge problem with this except it’s advertised as vaguely Middle Eastern, and there is a sense that they are hiding Israeli-owned identity from customers. The food wasn’t terrible, but I would never go there again for the unapologetic incompetence I experienced there the second time
