Living just 100m from Fora, I was excited when it opened. The place has a tourist-friendly appeal but does not cater well to locals. I've visited 20+times: their pastries are unique and I love some of them, I was less impressed with the bread. One major issue is their inefficient takeaway system or lack of: in the morning, the guy takes everyone's order in line before starting working on them, which can result in unusually long waiting time. On one occasion, when I was in a hurry and a customer ahead let me go first, I pointed to the inefficiency (12 mn wait to get one croissant and 1 coffee when there was only one customer ahead): he responded that I needed to understand his working style and that me being in a hurry wasn't his problem. The pastel de nata may look standard, but it’s rich in filling, to the point of nearly overflowing and that for me, is a plus. A distinctive offerings is the orange coffee, a combination not commonly found elsewhere. The citrus and coffee pair well together and are worth trying :) The service is friendly, although at times only one staff member handles both the barista and cashier roles, which can lead to a slower experience. That said, this isn’t a place intended for quick visits, but rather for enjoy the place and the vibes for...
