It was the last dinner in Portugal but the most remarkable one, with distance. Pedro was a lovely host, he welcomed my couple and I with warmth and kindness, while Sonia was busy with her magic in the kitchen. The time flew with their company, the food was top notch, as much as the wine. All the products are local, carefully selected, and cooked with the respect they deserve. The experience as a whole was for sure the highlight of the meals I have had in Lisbon, and for sure the of of the 3 or 4 things that I will keep in my lifetime memories. When we were about to leave, we told Sonia that it was an amazing dinner and she simply replied: "When people come here to eat, it's not just about food, is about love and care. Read moreProbably my favourite dining experience in quite some time. The owners are wonderful and they really do care about the food, which was delicious.
My minor critique is that they have wonderful ingredients, but the flavours get hidden in how it’s prepared. I had the Alheira de caça toast. That sausage is a very subtly flavoured and textured piece. The homemade sauce, I’m sure it’s really delicious. The cheese used is robust enough that it makes the flavour of both the sauce and the sausage, so highly suggest you taste things individually before eating as a whole, if you order this dish. I don’t know if other meats are more fragrant/boldly flavoured.
All in all, well worth visiting. DO NOT...

Service is friendly and very welcoming. Pedro takes the time to explain menu options and what are you going to eat. He even serves a little sip of wine before choosing it (and when you get a glass of wine, amounts are generous). We had a quite different experience from tapas bars from Lisbon center (where they look quite ps off and bored all the time when serving). Definitely a must go. This is a 5/5...
