Italian Republic — Restaurant in Lisbon

Me and my husband had a wonderful experience in 2019, served by a gentleman who was espectacular plus the food quality was amazing and that’s the reason we went back as soon as we could be in Lisbon again in 2021. This time, with high expectations we were served by a blond lady extremely rude and unpleasant, we ordered our starters and told them we were going to have the mains but we wanted some time in between. At some point, the food just came to our table, brought by the woman who wouldn’t even say a word to us and the food was cold. We asked another waiter to please heat it up and this rude lady shouted out loud to the whole restaurant that it just came from the oven! It made us so uncomfortable, we could barely eat or drink anymore. We left from there extremely disappointed and sad to see such a great business in a great location being ruined by some staff that seems to be in the wrong business, since hospitality was the least...

We had a terrible experience here at Italian Repulic. Overall bad quality of service and not particularly exiting food.

We were a big group that went for some food but we're dissapointed in the lack of service and quality of the food. We had to wait more than an hour after ordering our food (which didn't go very quickly either). The food did not arrive at the same time and some of us had to wait quite a while after others had already begun eating. There was also problems with the food. One had ordered a soup which turned out to be cold, when we informed the waiter he stuck it in the microwave. Our meatfree dish turned out to be full of small pieces of either bacon or seafood, when we informed the waiters the took it back into the kitchen without a word, then came back to acuse us of switching plates - no apologizes what so ever. we asked for the receipt twice...

Pomodoro Tomato Soup Antipasti - Baked Bread topped with Cheese, Tomatoes, and Pesto Sauce Mushroom Risotto Ravioli filled with Spinach and Cheese

Each dish showcased fresh ingredients and traditional flavors. The restaurant also offers pizza for vegetarians, which we plan to try next time. While most dishes were delightful, some items were a tad saltier than preferred, which might not suit everyone’s taste palate. However, this could be a matter of personal preference.
