We had such a lovely two night stay during our honeymoon trip to Portugal. The hotel is tucked into a more reserved part of Lisbon that feels very safe and gets quiet at night. This being said, park is lively with community gatherings (everyone enjoys a drink at the kiosk after work) and there is a recurring art and fashion market every month or so in addition to being close to a large grocery store and nearby restaurants. We preferred this location over the bustle of downtown and still found it convenient to Uber or walk to the Metro. The room was beautiful with comfortable linens and quality bath products. We loved the guest guide book and we noticed the tasteful logo touches from embroidery on the pouch holding the hairdryer to being printed on the craft chocolate wrappers that came alongside your tea. We don’t normally stay in such luxury accommodations but were pleasantly surprised with how the team crafted an elegant experience that felt warm and inviting versus stuffy. Check-in was friendly and informative and we enjoyed nightly cocktails or tea in the beautiful bar downstairs. Breakfast was incredible and my request for cream with coffee was met with the bartender delivering hand whipped cream sweetened lightly with vanilla. This just captures the personalization and attentiveness of the team who consistently went above and beyond to meet our needs. My only note of feedback is as a traveler it would be fun to have more local Portugese products and dishes given the hotel’s drink and food menu caters to more English and American tastes. For example, there is a fine collection of Port and banana bread made with local fruit and I appreciated these touches and would be interested in seeing more of them.
Big thank you to Manish at the bar, Goncalo at the front desk, and everyone who made our stay...

I recently had the misfortune of booking a reservation at Hotel das Amoreiras, and my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Let me preface this by saying that emergencies can happen to anyone, and a little compassion goes a long way. Unfortunately, Hotel das Amoreiras lacks even a basic understanding of customer service.
My partner and I were on a road trip when our car unexpectedly broke down, leaving us stranded a whopping 300 km away from the hotel. Our car had to be towed and we had to wait 2 days until the defective part was delivered and our car was repaired. Given the circumstances, we immediately contacted the hotel to explain our situation and kindly requested to cancel or postpone our reservation for a few days. To our dismay, the response we received was cold, unhelpful, and downright heartless.
Despite explaining the dire circumstances and the impossibility of making it to the hotel, the staff at Hotel das Amoreiras insisted on enforcing their strict cancellation policy. Seeing a business prioritize policy over compassion is disheartening, especially when facing such unexpected and uncontrollable circumstances is disheartening.
Also the request for a voucher so we could come and stay at the hotel at a later point was denied.
The lack of empathy displayed by Hotel das Amoreiras is truly astonishing. While other establishments might understand the need for flexibility in unforeseen situations, this hotel seems more interested in squeezing every penny out of its guests. It's a shame that a business in the hospitality industry would choose to tarnish its reputation by treating stranded travelers with...
Read moreDespite the higher price point, our stay at this hotel proved to be worth every penny. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were greeted with impeccable service and a warm atmosphere. The rooms exuded elegance and comfort, providing us with a sanctuary amidst the hustle and bustle of Lisbon.
One of the standout features of this hotel is its attentive staff, who went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met throughout our stay. Whether it was recommending local restaurants or arranging transportation, their hospitality truly elevated our experience.
Additionally, the breakfast spread was impressive, offering a variety of delicious options to start our day off right (incl. fairly decent dark roast filter coffee brewed in a Chemex).
The hotel's location was another highlight, situated in a charming area that allowed us to explore Lisbon with ease. Despite being centrally located, the surrounding area that's facing a very nice tiny park was surprisingly peaceful, allowing for a restful night's sleep.
While the hotel has a boutique feel with a touch of old-school charm, we did notice that it seemed to attract an older clientele. However, this didn't detract from our enjoyment of the property, as we still found it to be a perfect fit for our preferences.
In conclusion, if you're looking to splurge on a high-quality accommodation in Lisbon, this hotel is definitely worth considering. Its combination of luxurious amenities, attentive service, and convenient location make it a top choice for travelers seeking a memorable stay...
