Stubbled across this restaurant and decided to eat in it . My experience with Jamie Oliver franchise isn’t good but I still still decided to eat here because I was hungry and had no options . I decided to give it a try . I sat and choose what to order . Unfortunately some of the dishes were unavailable but I didn’t mind and chose another dish . The food took so long to come . I was starting to think about leaving . I tolerated it as I can see that the restaurant occupied a hefty amount of people . When the food came I was instantly dissaponted . The carobonara was just dry to the point were I could stab the fork in and take the pasta as a whole and bite into it like a biscuit . The lasagna was just … not acceptable I wouldn’t feed this to anyone the meat was disgustingly processed I couldn’t take more then a bit into it . The pizza was just disappointing the pizza sauce was off and the cheese was cold and dry the the bread was stale and cardboardy . Then comes the chicken … the chicken tasted like a flat lemon cake too salty and doesn’t even taste like chicken and I didn’t like the pesto on top of it . My sister ordered the spinach ravioli she says it was good and the sauce was nice my dad ordered the burger he said that the burger it self was okay but the fries weren’t fresh or tasty . Not to mention that I had 2 other dishes that I ordered and the waitress did not bring to the table but thankfully that came to my favour because after what I ate I had no appetite left to eat more . Through out the meal I’ve asked the waitress for ketchup and Tabasco where he completely just ignored me and I was obliged to ask another waiter so I’d say the service was bad . For the price point that I’m seeing is expect better . I ask for the receipt and I see that the salad that I had ordered and the waiter didn’t bring was added in but the calamari that I ordered and didn’t come through wasn’t so I’d assume that the waiter just forgot to write that down . But the receipt problem was solved fairly quick which I was happy about . Overall I’d never consider eating there again neither would I recommend it as the service is bad but the food is...
Read moreWe've visited Jamie Oliver's restaurants for years and we couldn't wait to try this one out in Portugal. We were served by one of the MOST Arrogant and Condescending "Manager" I've ever seen. Yelling the costumers at the door, without saying "Good afternoon/evening" first (About reservations, face masks, menu ,orders, etc.) We decided to stay nevertheless because despite this situation, the brand Jamie Oliver had never disappointed us. Pizzas where good, you could tell staff was trying to do their best despite working under pressure (especially the bartender who had the right to snarky and rude remarks in Portuguese every 5 minutes by the manager.)
The couple at the table next to us had a heated discussion with the manager, the woman got up and left and the man stayed for 5 more minutes to pay for his bill.
To the Jamie Oliver Corp Team: This is not the first comment you receive on management and you are still not doing anything to change the situation. How can you let someone with this kind of attitude still let them being "in charge" of a renowned restaurant like Jamie's??!
To the "Manager": After hearing you talk to another client about your Brazilian origins and brag that you speak 7 or more languages fluently, I can tell you that it's quite useless if you don't know how to communicate effectively with other people. In the end ( In the eyes of the average Europeans) you are still an immigrant like some of your wonderful colleges and being overbearing with others (clients included) won't get you more respected and...
Read moreThis restaurant was a blessing! Because I have a special diet, I was concerned about traveling. I was also concerned about not speaking Portuguese and understanding the menu. Iram, waitress, took extra time to find pics on her phone, explained ingredients, and brought them out so I could taste them. There were 7 in our party the first night, and everyone enjoyed their meal, the service, and the atmosphere!
During our second visit, Iram was on her dinner break when we arrived. At the request of the manager, Jorgie, the chef, Ramol, came to our table to explain the ingredients and how they were prepared. Iram did check on us afterwards and made sure my takeout order was taken care of.
Trying to eat out with a special diet is very tricky and I have questioned many waitresses about ingredients. And, I have never received an answer that made me feel 100% sure that I was getting what they said. This restaurant was an exception! I have NEVER experienced this level of customer service in the USA.
Although, everyone in the restaurant was helpful and friendly, these 3 individuals went above and beyond, what we’d call good customer service! Thank you, Iram, Ramol, and Jorge! We appreciate your kindness, attention to detail, and desire to make sure we had a great experience! I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch or dinner! ...
