Update:
It was our third time at Little India (we got take away). We definitely like it. It was very good, overall. I would give it a 4.5 if 1/2 stars were possible, but I can't give it a 5.
So far we have had Malai Chicken Tikka (starter), Veggie samosas (starter), Dal Makhani, Chicken Biryani (twice), Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter chicken + 1 garlic and 1 cheese naan.
All of the starter + main options were really, really good. I might get the malai chicken tikka every time I go. It was superb. But not everything was perfect:
Our "complaints" (and they are minor) is that the garlic naan needed more garlic and the cheese naan needed MUCH more cheese. In fact, after getting cheese naan twice, we will not get it again. It is the least "cheesy" I have ever seen for cheese naan.
Other complaint is the biryani. The flavor is excellent, but, I find it really off-putting when I have to sift through my food to remove cloves and cardamom seeds/pods. Biting into them is quite unpleasant and this is the only biryani I can recall eating where I had this experience of having to pick through my food to remove these items. So, we probably won't order the biryani again for this reason.
Overall, our 3 experiences were very good and we will continue to be customers. There is a competitor Indian restaurant 2 streets away that we have tried multiple times, and in our opinion, Little India is definitely better. Also worth mentioning -- VERY...

Little Indiia in Lisbon is more than just a restaurant — it’s a place with character, charm, and a vibe that draws you in like the scent of spices on a warm summer wind.
We chose to sit in their lovely outdoor seating area, the perfect spot to soak in the Lisbon weather while sipping on mango lassi and letting the aromas from the kitchen build our appetite.
The food? It did more than live up to expectations — it danced on our palates. We started with fish, paneer tikka, and chicken tandoori — each bite was a bold and flavorful nod to India’s culinary soul. The paneer makhani with soft, warm breads followed, and it was nothing short of soul-satisfying.
But the cherry — or rather, the shisha — on top was for my wife. They offer shisha outdoors, a rare and delightful find in the city. If there was one small wish, it would be for the shisha to have been just a touch better — but even so, it added a special spark to an already wonderful evening.
All in all, Little Indiia is a gem. A dinner destination I’ll be gladly recommending to anyone in Lisbon with a craving for Indian cuisine and a craving...
Read moreWe recently visited Little India, a cozy and welcoming restaurant in Lisbon, during our 2-day stay, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing meal. We were traveling with our 9-month-old infant, and the staff, under the guidance of the owner Mamta, were incredibly accommodating, even preparing a special meal for our baby. The food was exceptional, with flavors that reminded us of authentic Indian cuisine. We ordered Vada Pav, and to our surprise, it was just as delicious as the ones we’ve had in Mumbai. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just the way we liked it. We would love to visit again the next time...
