Avoid this club at all costs—clear discrimination, scam tactics, and an awful experience.
I booked seven tickets in advance for my group, paying £25 per ticket, only to be denied entry at the door for absolutely no reason. The staff glanced at us, saw we were tourists, and immediately decided our tickets were “rejected,” with the excuse that I’d get a refund on Monday. No explanation, no attempt to check IDs or clarify—just a cold dismissal.
The Woman at the Door – the True Villain of Lux Frágil
The brunette woman who runs the door is the epitome of arrogance and deceit. She took her sweet time pretending to pull up a ticket scanning app, stalling for ages, while we stood there clueless. I’m convinced this “app” was completely fake, a prop in their scam to reject tourists without any valid reason. When she finally spoke, it was with pure disdain—cold, dismissive, and completely uninterested in anything we had to say.
We weren’t drunk, we weren’t dressed inappropriately, and we had never faced anything like this in over a decade of clubbing. It was clear that this club has a discriminatory and selective entry policy, where tourists are routinely turned away despite having paid. They were arrogant, rude, and dismissive, refusing to acknowledge that they were losing seven paying customers who would have spent money inside the club all night.
By the time we were refused entry, it was too late to go anywhere else for long, so we had to salvage the night by finding a bar nearby. Lux Frágil completely ruined what should have been an amazing night out.
If you’re a tourist, don’t waste your time or money here. This place is notorious for pulling these stunts. The bouncers are a disgrace, and the management clearly has no interest in running a fair or welcoming venue. I will be telling everyone I know to...
Read moreThe place is very cool, the lights and spaces have been created with such a nice taste. The music was absolutely amazing in both rooms.
The security team was very professional and kind anytime you had to ask them for something, as well as the cleaners. The toilets were very clean.
Honestly, this club in Lisboa has been one of my funniest experiences and the vibes there are just too good.
I don't normally write negative reviews but in this case this is a must. Is not that I have smtg personal against the tall, slim and long tied up hair waiter (he was serving in the counter of the first floor) that denied re-filling my glass of water and told me to do it in the toilet, but this kind of behaviour is just unacceptable. In most countries in Europe it is MANDATORY to dedicate a space of the counter for free tap water, and the waiters are indeed in charge of it. But apparently this is too much for this club or for this waiter (I don't know if he's following instructions os just being astonishingly rude). The rest of the waiters/waitresses were kind and served me water/drinks anytime I needed with good manners. It is a shame that things like this happen and we forget that we are human beings and not only custumers that should pay for anything they need. As animals we need air, water and a toilet, and that's the minimum you need to make sure you provide for free in every space in which there's people dancing, drinking alcohol, etc.
I would have given 5 stars to this place if it wasn't for this disappointing waiter.
I hope the managers of this place take into consideration to create a space for free tap water, as any club of the same...
Read moreWent here sober, on my own, around 01:30. Had friends that went there about 30min before and told me to come. So I came alone. Just like I've successfully done at berghain and many other berlin clubs, basically every club in Stockholm and lots of "fancier" techno clubs in Vienna, Barcelona, Paris, Hong Kong, Budapest etc. Stood in line for 15min no problem. Met the bouncer. He eyeballed me, asked how many I was with. Told him I was alone and had friends waiting inside since 30min back. I was wearing a fashionable but modest designer shirt, shorts and sneakers because of the heat. Nothing sticking out from other people around me. In my opinion I was among the more dressed-up in line except maybe for shorts (50/50 in the line). Another guard seemed polite and nodded hello. He said ok, you can come in but have to pay the entrance fee. I said of course (my friends told me it was 65 euros). He said it's 240 euros. I said that's crazy. He said thats the price, take it or leave. I left. Not that I couldn't afford it and probably would have spent something like that inside anyway, but by principle. If they exclude people by letting some pay extra, I'm not interested anyway.
So no love for Lux Fragile and I will tell my agents and dj friends from around the world, to avoid bookings from there. And spread the word about the attitude a polite paying happy customer can get for no apparent reason.
Too bad I didn't get to see Boris again. And that I now don't want to return, no matter what bookings they do. At least I got to write my first angry...
