We were very fortunate to have the AirBNB apartment that we stayed at just around the corner form the restaurant Tapas 129. We stopped there for breakfast on one of our first days in Lisbon, and have eaten lunch and dinner there several times since! The food is fantastic, the service is wonderful, and the overall atmosphere of the location is great. It is not in the center of Lisbon but in a more residential part of town, but it is very conveniently located close to Santa Apolónia subway/train station. Well worth the time to get there if you are not as fortunate as we were, and located further away.

This is a family owned and run restaurant that really treats the customer well, and makes sure the food coming to the customer is of top quality. We tried quite a few different items over the course of the two weeks we were in Lisbon, including the daily specials (baby back ribs one day - yum!) and every thing has been top-notch. The sangrias are to-die-for, as are the lula fritas (fried calamari). The potion sizes are quite generous - my wife took half of her meal home almost each meal (lucky her - she got to have more Tapas 129 food the next day!). The staff are very attentive and friendly without being in your face all the time. A very relaxing atmosphere accompanied by excellent food. I highly recommend people go a little out of their way to eat at a great restaurant serving great...

I love this type of neighbourhood restaurant without fancy decor but serves extraordinary fresh dishes with friendly and warm service, also in a very affordable price. Less than €50 for a tapas 6, a ribeye steak for two person coming with large salad and chips, cola, homemade lemonade, cheese cake, and espresso. Highly recommended.

Main attraction for me visiting this restaurant was their tapas and their seafood. However My bf wanna steak so we initially ordered ribeyes for two person and another main seafood plus drinks. The staff was super friendly and kindly told us that portion of the steak is a bit big, perhaps we could wait and order the other main if we still feel like so after having the steak. The steak was tasty and I thought the salad would be just tiny average side dish of the steak, but I was wrong that salad was super fresh and big bowl and most importantly the dressing was incredible! The staff told me that their chef preps different dressing with different type of meat/seafood! I needed some sweet to be the ending. Their cheese cake did impress me. It was tasted like a cake from a fantastic pastry made in-house, not something I would expect from a...

Hello, you answered to me saying that we were 10. That's totally false we were four and we took 3 drinks thinking that it was too expensive to eat. As you said we are young so we don't have that much money to spend on vacations. Anyway the problem is really not on the food, people seemed to enjoy it next to us and it's a really good thing for you. Unfortunately the problem comes from the person who served us, she was acting petty and totally disrespectful toward CONSUMERS just because we weren't going to eat. When our friends come we told them to go to the one on the other side of the road due to that disrespect and we joined them right after finishing the drinks, so none of them sat at your restaurant. However your restaurant seemed really nice with really nice food that we just couldn't afford and a really good vibe with good music. The only problem was the woman who served us that really lacked of hospitality. Anyway, I'm sorry if you felt disrespected by my grade but we felt disrespected by the attitude towards us, therefore the grade will still be bad because there's better ways to welcome tourists in...

My friend and I stayed in Lisbon for several days and this was the first place we visited for food just because it was nearby. We didn't expect much, but we just kept coming back and trying new dishes!! The tuna salad won our hearts 🫶 The host suggested to share it, the portion is unexpectedly big! Mango is just 🤤 Salmon salad, salmon tartar, veal salad, tapas appetisers, even the wine - everything was incredibly delicious!!! It's a small place, but the closeness of other guests never disturbed us. And they have heaters outside, which was nice on a cold evening. We read some reviews afterwards and we're so happy to see a lot of people also share the love for this small restaurant 🩷 If we ever visit Lisbon again, let's grab a table together, Tapas 129 fans unite! 😁

I passed this on my way to a bus stop and was hungry. Very glad I stopped here. The service was very friendly, and the food was fantastic. I chose 2 tapas dishes which is actually a bit too much for 1 person. But I still ate it with relish. It was also the first time I tasted the 'green' wine of Portugal. My favourite tapas so far is the salmon/tuna salad which you can also see a picture of. When I am in Lisbon again, I will definitely stop here again. And this time not by accident! :) Don't be scared of the price, I took multiple drinks and a coffee..
