AVOID this hostel, there are plenty "better value for money" accomodations in Lisbon! You need to know, we have travelled the whole world, but the experience we had at this hostel was one of the worst and the stay completely overpriced ROOM: Outside of the room was a construction side, so that we had to keep the window closed most of the time due to noise and dust! The doors were so heavy and couldn't be closed quietly. Most of the guests slammed them at night. There was barely no chance to get a proper night sleep! The bed was the cheapest possible IKEA bed with a very thin mattress. We have got more and more back pain during our stay and had even to sleep one night with the mattress on the floor. The room was as the bathroom not well maintained,e.g. curtains hung off the rails in the rooms. BATHROOM: There were only 1 shower and 1 toilet "working". The others were "out of order" and were not fixed during our stay although we complained. The shower had no light and the showerhead was damaged, so the water was sparkling all over the place. There were 2 dispensers in the bathroom, one was empty, the other was almost empty. None of them was filled up by the staff. BREAKFAST: On the first 2 days we have got a very basic breakfast, which was getting better after more guests had arrived, strange though. STAFF: On the first morning we had to call the one in charge out off bed to get a breakfast. Since the staff didn't change anything after our complaints, we (like mattress, toilet, curtains, light, showerhead etc.) required a refund from the manager, who didn't pay us any penny back. PURE RIP-OFF!

DO NOT STAY HERE There were bed bugs and not only did the property refuse to refund me, they said I was blackmailing them and wanted to report me to the authorities lol There was no one around to assist. The property was also really dirty, there’s a hole in front of the building entrance, the lift was broken and had cockroaches in it. The fan in the room did nothing to cool it down.

Difficult to find because there is no signage on the building other than a piece of paper on the glass door. Staircase was very dark and we arrived in the late afternoon, so that was a challenge. We did get a great room, despite only being there one night. Perfect location near the Apolonia Train station and the cruise shop terminal. A bit on the pricey side though.

i have mixed emotions about this place. It is such a nice cosy place. The rooms look nice. The living room is nice. The kitchen could be nice. Some rooms have amazing views. The whole place has an authentic and cosy feeling, more a guesthouse than a hotel. The staff was very very nice and even let us in a bit earlier. We could store our bags on the last day. I slept with earplugs and didnt hear the construction noise. However. The room smelled funny. When we woke up the next day with condense water running down the windows on the inside, we could guess what we smelled: mold. The room looked clean, but the doors were super filthy. The kitchen was not clean either. The coffee pot was dirty. the doors of the fridge were dirty. The other doors were dirty. Dirty dishes in the sink all day. No napkins, kitchen towel holder empty.. The first day i knocked over coffee and had to get tissues from my room to clean it. Also no staff to be seen. There was no milk. Breakfast was very limited, but they did have fresh fruit salad. Tap was being held up by a string. Doors falling off. My BF felt the need to ask for tools and fix it. And then as everyone said: scary old elevator, third floor. Also, the street up from the station IS insanely steep. Three stars because i just desperately want to like this place because...
