Nestled between the train station and the military museum is this fantastic restaurant.

We started to sit outside, but with the construction debris and the piles of trash in the street, we had to move inside.

We enjoyed some adult beverages (Caipairinha de Mango, and Caipblack) and starters. Our server recommended the Tapioca Dadinho, and I'm glad he did bc they were so delicious, especially with the jam. We also tried the Greaves (crispy pork belly pieces) crispy on the outside and melty on the inside.

Next, we ordered the Brazilian Picanha for 2 and the Beef ribs. AMAZING! There are no other words to describe it. It comes with pico, farofa, and rice and beans.

We had SO much meat between our family of 5. We even had to take away the rest bc we couldn't finish it all.

Highly recommend if you're looking for a...

Every so often you find a restaurant by accident that exceeds your expectations…such is the case with Sol Brasil. This restaurant, across from the Santa Apolonia train stain, was amazing and you can understand why people wait for a table. The #28 Chef’s Salad (14 Euros) was amazing and possibly the largest and best salad that we have found in Portugal. Crisp greens and lots of fresh fruit. The Feijoada a Brasileira (16.90 Euros and only available Saturday and Sunday)is a tasty stew of flavorful beans and large chunks of beef and pork along with rice, greens and farofa. Another highlight was the Mango Caipirinha that was thick, fruity, somewhat sweet and very strong. I had drank half of it before realizing that I needed a picture (8 Euros). If you are in the area, or not, this is a place worth...

oh my god - a friend and I visited this restaurant last week during a stay in Alfama and it was a bit of a disaster; Very slow, unorganised service (waiter kept suggesting drinks/food to try and then coming back 5 or 10 minutes later to tell us they didn't actually have it, one of these things being sparkling water? this happened about 3 times) when we eventually got our food, it was actually someone else's and despite me touching the food, it was swept away and given to another table which is pretty unhygienic The food itself was rubbery and cold, and to top it off both me and my friend were very, very ill afterwards. It has been over a week and my stomach is still experiencing pretty...
