The food is pretty good - a bit overpriced compared to other places within a ten minute walk, but good. Just be careful -- they thrust things on your table that you may think come with the meal, like plates of ham / cheese / chorizo / bottled water, but you will find additional charges of €6 or so for each item on your bill at the end of the night. So if they do this and you don't want it, give them a firm NO before they put it down and leave you with it. They had fado singers throughout the evening / night. They have a nice large outdoor seating area which is very inviting, and which adds a bit of levity to the emotional quality of fado. The Tosta Medrosa, which is toasted bread with goat cheese and chouriço, was very good. I don't particularly like their brand of Guarana (they use Guarana Brasil, whereas I prefer Guarana Antarctica), however, they do make some tasty drinks with gooseberry syrup (I recommend you try the Groselha). One surprise on the menu was that this restaurant has an impressive craft beer selection, so if you're into craft beer, this is the place for you!
The service was quite good when I went, and the prices are reasonable. I would...

The staff who served me didn’t speak Portuguese (or very little) which, as a non native Portuguese speaker myself, found a bit disappointing - wanted to practice but it also loses authenticity - this wasn’t the first place in Lisbon where I noted this though, seems to be a trend now... Overall I wouldn’t go back because I was disappointed with the food - but some of the other food looked nice, so it was...
