Nikkei — Restaurant in Lisbon

Visiting Lisbon, came across this and liked the vibe. Stepped in for a drink. I guess because we didn't have a reservation (noone asked) or probably because we are indians (chatgpt translates the racial comments :) ) The only vibe and atmosphere we got was to sit at the bar and hear the discussions of various staff. Felt like was sitting in their kitchen for a free drink! Decided to step out after that. Food is good when the reception and the warmth is. The most unfortunate experience in a lovely city...

Nikkei is, in my opinion, one of the best Japanese restaurants in Lisbon. It has a fusion touch with Peruvian cuisine, and everything is incredibly flavorful. The service is excellent and attentive. Prices are fair—not the cheapest, not the most expensive—but you definitely get what you pay for.

I went to Nikkei with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. I am vegetarian so I asked if they could prepare a couple of rolls for me using avocado, as they did not have any vegetarian options on the menu. I asked for avocado because I knew they already had it in some of their other rolls. They refused to do that, so I ended up having edamame for dinner. It would not have taken much effort on their part to make a sushi roll for me with ingredients that they already had....
