Forest Pizza & Coffee Culture — Restaurant in Lisbon

After visiting the Belém Tower, we went for some lunch, fancied pizza so thought we would try Forest. We had one Carbonara and a Shrimp Pasta. The carbonara was quite dry and bland as well as the shrimp pasta - both quite forgettable. Whilst the decor was tasteful, the food and staff were not. Staff were disorganised, and different members of staff attempted to take our order and we had to remind them we had already ordered. Upon eating the meal, we got up and left and were greeted by who I imagine to be the manager, who greeted us (whilst we had already been there for an hour at this point) which left us confused. We then asked 3 members of staff to pay, to which they looked confused about our question. We could have quite literally left the restaurant without paying and no one would have known. We are really disappointed by the behavior of the two bartenders, a blonde girl and a brunette girl. We went to the bathroom and then had a coffee. When the blonde girl made us pay, we realized that she had also made us pay €1 for going to the bathroom. My boyfriend and I, in a low voice, were commenting on the fact that we had paid to go to the bathroom because it had never happened to us, but obviously we didn't say anything. The ladies, having heard us comment, started talking loudly among themselves, offending us and mocking us for the fact that we only bought a coffee and therefore had to pay for the bathroom and keep quiet. Well, we don't complain about having paid for the bathroom, one euro doesn't make us bankrupt, but we complain about their rudeness. Too bad for them that I speak their language and I understood everything. Not recommended...

The food was good, but we had to wait more than 30 minutes for water after ordering. When I asked the waiter to prepare my meal, he hurriedly started to prepare it. After that, the salmon salad finally arrived, but I can't imagine it took more than 30 minutes for this to arrive! It probably took an hour for all the food to arrive. When I finally finished my meal and asked for a check, I was made to wait again for more than 15 minutes, and although I repeatedly asked the waiter, he did not seem to come to check my order. How long are they going to keep me waiting? No apology when we paid the bill or left the restaurant. The location and the food are not bad, but unless the waiter's skills are improved, it will be impossible to have a pleasant dining...
