I am a client for over 10 years since I went to a school nearby, and for me these are the best baguettes I'm town. They amazing flavour, with different tastes like stroganoff or meatballs or their amazing Shoarma, and you can fill it up with a bunch of side ingredients from chesses to vegetables to eggs.... And their amazing white sauce (a kind of herb mayonnaise sauce) that also comes with the fries. The staff are very friendly and talkative and suggest good options. Besides the baguettes they have pittas salads and whole dishes too. Unfortunately for lack of demand some of the old sauces are gone, like the amazing "Coco loco" but they still retain a long list of options. The space is small, although it has a room on top with tables and outdoors sits too and the price is very affordable. If you are a student at launch hour during the week it's even cheaper. They have a bunch of drink options from beer and cidra to on the counter soda or canned ones. Also the famous "pastéis de Belém" are just a couple doors down so a good place to eat before trying this...

I stopped by here after a long day of travel with the intention of getting food to go. The restaurant had a red stand set up outside. I'm not sure whether it was set up for the weekend or for the crowds that accompanied the Pope's visit. There was a limited selection of baguette sandwiches so I got two tuna and vegetable sandwiches to go.
The meat in the tuna sandwich was very tough and the bread was stale. The lettuce on the vegetable sandwich was wilted and nearly black in color. Every single one the vegetables was rotten. If I wasn't feeling sick, I would have returned to the restaurant and asked for a refund or freshly made food.
I understand that the restaurant needed to cater to large crowds, but serving stale and rotten food is not acceptable. The health and sanitation department should shut this place down...
Read moreVisited Belem Palace, stopped here to get lunch. There was a short queue when I walked by, then it became a very long queue.
Very popular, with the locals and tourists. Plenty of choice of different lunch options from baguettes, wraps and pitta bread. Hot and cold items available with a very good selection of salad choices. I had tuna pieces with lettuce, sweetcorn and friend onions in a baguette with fries, an apple and orange juice and a bottle of water.
All the food is made fresh whilst you wait. They are very busy and I can see why.
Prices are reasonable and the service is quick. You place your order at front with the cashier, you receive a ticket with your order and a staff member makes your order up for you to either take away or to be seated...
