Papa John’s — Restaurant in Lisbon

I originally planned to go to another restaurant, but it was suddenly full, so I decided to try this one nearby instead. The restaurant takes orders downstairs and serves customers upstairs, but I didn't know and went straight upstairs. Immediately, someone who seemed like the manager stopped me quite rudely and told me I had to order food before going up.

After I placed my order and paid, I asked for an invoice with my NIF number printed on it. The same staff told me the system was already shut down and they couldn’t issue it anymore. I already found this unacceptable, but I decided to let it go.

When the food was finally brought upstairs, that same "manager" just slammed it down without giving me any cutlery, without a single smile. The food itself was very average—not bad, but definitely not good either.

To be honest, even when I’ve encountered restaurants in Portugal where the food wasn’t great, the service was still warm and friendly. This is honestly the first place I've been to in Portugal with such poor customer service.

I went to this spot wanting to try a new pizza spot, but I have to say the service was really awkward...Nice, but no one knew any of the stuff I was asking when it's clear on the signs outside.

The wait was fair, 10-20 minutes for what we asked on the spot. (Since I don't like giving away my credit card info directly to the site like if it's the early 2000s, you need to apply google pay/MB Way like some other spots, just a suggestion.)

Now the pizza, it was awful. Very oily and salty to the point it's nearly inedible, I'm unsure if it was the cook at the spot but also the Hot Honey Pepperoni pizza had no honey at all. Even if the pizza was loaded with ingredients the flavor of everything was all off...

I think the Garlic sauces they provided us were rank too, the taste was too sour for consumption.

Not the best experience, our delivery took around one hour to arrive, when it did, half of the order was missing. One pizza, one starter and one drink. The most frustrating part was trying to get in touch with them and have no answer, as soon as I called from a different number they answered straight away. I spoke with Gabriel, he was a bit difficult at first, not aiming to give us a solution, after over five minutes on the phone he decided to send the rest of the itens, took another 50 minutes and the second pizza was smaller than the first one.
