Pausa is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the city for its directness. There’s no fuzz, no nonsense, everything is straight to the point. They don’t make a lot of dishes, but what they make, they do exceptionally.

The highlight here is their selection of focaccia sandwiches. Since they have a wide assortment of cold cuts in-house, they can craft delicious sandwiches with fresh ingredients and harmonious flavor combos. But their pasta dishes are equally as tasty, with a selection of well-made classics available on the menu using fresh pasta.

This is a great choice if you don’t wanna splurge on their sister restaurant, Ruvida, one of the absolute best Italian restaurants...

We accidentally left a pair of sunglasses on the table after our meal. When we returned to ask, one male staff member admitted there had been something left behind, but our server quickly dismissed it to him. The inconsistent answers left us with the impression that the situation wasn’t handled honestly.
