Non extensive menu but creative menu, with an extensive wine list, including many choices on glass. Meals arrived at the right temperature, water glasses constantly replenished, nice ambient music, just enough to be perceived. We booked a table for 2. We've ordered the croquete as a starter then the guinea fowl and the cod mille foilles. Both simple yet superbly prepared. Maybe the deep fried bread crumbed guinea fowl could be a tone or two "whiter" but taking into account the whole experience, that went almost unnoticed. I went to dine at Raizes for my girlfriends birthday May 2016. It was a fantastic experience! We are both Portuguese and can tell you this is a wonderful and surprisingly not expensive place, to have truly well made traditional Portuguese food.
The owner who waited our table, was helpful in finding advice and offering suggestions for wines to pair the dishes with and we ended splitting our two dishes between the two so we wouldn't miss out. Both were fantastic, and specially the board of "enchidos", the breaded green beans with chouricos mayonnaise and the cockle rice was to die for!

From the second we stepped in the door the waiter made us feel welcome and continued to be attentive, friendly and helpful throughout the evening.
