Restaurante Prove — Restaurant in Lisbon

I work as a manager in a real estate agency and very often come here with other employees and residents as our apartments are just around the corner. I often went to this cafe. I made my order this morning too. The woman who works here is very nice. But I will give 3 stars. Because when I went to the cafe for the second time today and asked me to go to the WC and then tell that I make an order the man started shouting at me that the WC was only for clients. The establishment was dark and only 2 people were sitting. He did not understand English. I have never met such a boorish attitude in Portugal. I do not advise anyone to come here.

The owner was very hostile to us as tourists and unfortunately only spoke Portuguese. When we sat down, he told us the special and took our menus from us without giving us a chance to order. We asked for the menus back, but he then came back with plates of pork with clams and refused to let us order anything else when we tried to explain that one of us was vegetarian. He told us to “just eat it, it’s good.”
