One of the best meals I had in an unassuming setting. The restaurant is small and cosy with one waiter (I presume the owner) serving who made you feel at ease. We begun with the scrambled eggs and chorizo which was delicious - the eggs were done perfectly. Next we shared the prawns and the octopus. Compared to other places I've eaten the portion size of the octopus was huge and the potato dish it came with paired perfectly. For me the prawns were the highlight, the sauce tasted so creamy but without there actually being cream..unreal. We ended by sharing 3 deserts and each one was perfect. A charming and cozy restaurant serving beautiful and delicious Portuguese food. Filipe, the owner, is friendly and knowledgeable of his menu and wine list. He helped us to choose a wine that would pair well with our meal choices. The food was delicious, and it’s clear that the hand-written menu is an ever-evolving thing… depending on ingredients and seasons. We had oysters, a mushroom dish, and cod fritters with tomato rice. The vinho verde we had brought out the nuances of the dishes and vice versa. We had a chocolate mousse as dessert. I get a lot of friends who live abroad visiting me in Lisbon and always take them here. Owner Luis has genuine care for the food and wine he serves, and is really commited to good flavoursome ingredients and great wines that are kind on the wallet. All my guest feel so welcome when I take them to this restaurant.
