I used to walk past this space daily as they tiled and jackhammered inside, wondering when it would be opening, given it is a new seafood-based offering from the Cortesia folks. I could see the colourful tiles and quirky fish fabric curtains, the long narrow space with the large open bar area, all gradually coming together. Finally it is open and we popped in for lunch on the off chance they had a free table, which they did in the small sheltered courtyard at the rear (we had to push past a few slow and curious old men but we nabbed it). I couldn't fault the delicious couvert (bread, sweet vinegary marinated olives and whipped butter), and the starters were divine; smoky prawn croquettes and white fish taquitos in a hard shell. After inhaling those without pause, i was heartened for the extravagant main - rice with scarlet prawns. Basically a paella, it arrived in the pan, with the charred rice scraped from the edges and the scarlet prawn head juice squeezed over it right before our eyes. It was absolutely divine. Every mouthful more delicious than the last. It was served with a lively homemade chilli sauce for those with tolerance, and i put it over half my plate, so i could still enjoy the unadulterated kick of the smoky salty rice and sweet prawn meat. Dessert was a chocolate basque cheesecake, a clever update on the traditional and ubiquitous chocolate mousse you would ordinarily order after such a feast. Again - utterly fabulous. I would go back for the same meal again and again - and I recommend you...

From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the cozy and welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that every detail of our dining experience was perfect. The highlight of the evening was, without a doubt, the food. Each dish was expertly prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients that highlighted the flavors of Portuguese cuisine. I particularly enjoyed the seafood dishes, which were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. Overall, Teimar restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Lisbon. I can't wait to visit again and explore more of their...
Read moreAmazing dinner experience at Teimar!! The restaurant isn’t too spacious, so it’s important to book a table to avoid constraints. We had the Tuna carpaccio for starter, and shared octopus and tiger shrimp as main dishes. And we absolutely loved each bite of everything!!! For dessert, we chose the Kinder Joy. It’s good overall, the sweetness is well balanced, but I think they could improve the presentation (the food is directly in that funny box, no plate under it). Anyway delicious food, very friendly staff, and the price was also ok for everything we had (around 78€ in total). I’ll definitely come back and...
