Chad Thai Food Vilamoura — Restaurant in Loulé

Delicious authentic Thai restaurant just up the steps at the back of the Marina near Natraj and Northwoods. Was the first time I tried it last night with my mother. We regularly eat Thai food in several restaurants here, England and in Thailand. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and this will now become a regular restaurant for us and friends. They offered take away and delivery too. The restaurant does not look fancy when you see it but had indoor and outdoor seating. The service was friendly and great. Most importantly the food was authentic and so tasty!!! We shared chicken satay for a starter, superb and we shared prawn pad thai and thai green chicken curry and jasmine rice for mains. We asked for it to be spicy as we enjoy spicy food and some thai restaurants I feel do not add enough spice to their hot dishes. Here the chef listened and we could see the chillies. The flavours and spiciness was just what we love, also had lots of nice vegetables mixed into the dish, so tasty! Much cheaper than the marina and excellent authetic quality food. There are a few so called Thai Restaurants in Vilamoura with really nice decor and lots of buddas but serving not so authentic food , as regular visitor to Thailand who loves the food this is the most authentic Thai restaurant I have eatin in outside Thailand ..Its a really small reasturant located behind the Marina in Vilamoura run by a Thai family who cook proper home cooked Thai food ..Nang the owner is such a lovely lady and her son the chef is top notch ...If you like authentic Thai food this is your place !! If you want the big budda and average wok cooked generic thai food go to one of the others in Vilamoura...Make sure you try the Tom Yun Gai ...Unreal !!...

We loved our visit to Chad Thai food SO much we ended up ordering takeout as well later in our trip. The service was amazing - extremely welcoming to my toddler and baby, and a street level patio perfect for our wagon. There was construction going on at the pub across the street (our toddler LOVED watching them use their power tools) and the server was very concerned it would ruin our meal, but there was nothing that could ruin how delicious their green curry and mango sticky rice were!
