We came through the fork but I recommend booking directly with them as they are very attentive. The restaurant is in excellent shape and has a very good appearance and vibe. Our waiter, Ronaldo, was excellent! He sold us a T-Bone and helped us make decisions about our sides. Everyday there are new selections of meats that are in a separate “menu” not visible on the educating menu. The pricing for these meats are very adequate and suited for the Portuguese market. High quality meats from Finland, and other nations. Furthermore, Ronaldo was very attentive, happy and friendly as he served us. He suggested us to try his favorite fries of the restaurant and we did! If we didn’t like them he would replace them at no cost to us, which I found very good from the restaurant and Ronaldo. The restaurant had live music with a singer performing and was quite lively with people. Once the food arrived it was excellent, just as Ronaldo described it. It came on the hot stone as to not get cold and well presented. The meat was very good as was the white rice and fries. Well done to the whole team and even the owner who was there present on the night. Thank you,...
Read moreWalked passed this restaurant a few times on the way to the marina and tonight decided to give it a go. Firstly we were asked if we wanted water which we thought would have been complimentary as it has been elsewhere all week but it was €4. We then order 2 portions of kids steak and chips and when they arrived I was disappointed to see the steak wafer thin and overcooked. We had eaten at don Toro a previous night and the steak there was cooked perfectly but upon ordering the kids steak there was no mention of how we would like it cooked.
My adult steak was the sliced rump cooked medium. The cooking of the steak was fine but is wasn't sliced came with no chips and a slither of corn and 2 slices of pepper which for the price is nowhere near good enough.
Total meal coming to nearly €100 and left bitterly...
Read moreWe went to Sal & Fogo on 4th January after a family recommendation. We shared chorizo and bread covers to start. Then my husband and I shared the Pedra Algarve - which was the sharing plate of a rump, sirloin and brisket. It was absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection (medium at our choice). Melt in the mouth beef. My mother in law had the pork prime rib which was so tasty and tender. My father in law had the beef Pica Pau - it was excellent and very generous and savoury. And my kids enjoyed the burger and chicken nuggets - the kids options were great and very accommodating. Large portions. Our server Adilima couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. She showed us around the outside gardens for when we come back in...
