Horrible experience! The “risole de carne” had so much oil on the dough that it looked like it was freshly dipped in oil. I didn’t notice it until I took it back to the table and my husband asked if I was going to actually eat that. After I bit into it, actually two bites, I never did find the “carne”. I can’t give you any feedback on the main part of the pastry because I never found it and after two bites of greasy dough, I couldn’t take anymore. I called over the owner or manager, but instead of being concerned about why his product tasted so bad, he was more concerned that I had taken two bites out of it and wanted it replaced with something edible. We’ve been there several times and honestly, all their salty products are basically dough with very little filler and the cakes are more appealing looking than they are tasting. Needless to say, we won’t be going back. Coffee and pastry shops are a dime a dozen. And his product isn’t...
Read moreBeen here a few times, manager/owner is rude. Seems to have a chip on his shoulder. Ordered a rissole de carne for the wife, and it was just as inedible as it looked. Soaked in oil with no filling that you could see. I ate the stuff in Brazil so I had an idea how it should be and she is Brazilian but was determined to try it. After two bites, she gave up and discussed and wanted to see the manager. According to him, that’s the way it should be and since you took a couple bites off of it “are you gonna try everything in the place to see if anything is good”? The answer to that is NO, as a matter of fact, we’ll never try anything in his place again because if you’re that desperate over a couple of euros, God knows what else you’re...
Read moreThe pastel de nata was genuinely delicious! The chocolate croissant was okay, just a little bit too dry for my liking. The cappuccino was okay as well. Prices seemed fair to me. Order and pay inside, and then you can have a seat whilst waiting for them to bring your order to you. Nice and quiet before 10AM (no queue). A bit noisy because of the busy road running right in front. Kind and...
