All you can eat works very well, tasty sashimi and everything, but I had a major problem when I went there last year. They didn't accept my British credit card, nor my British debit card. They said that they only accepted cash or Portuguese cards... They mentioned that the card reader machine wasn't able to read cards issued abroad.
Nobody told me this when I sat down. They said that there was a sign at the entrance, bullsh!t. I go somewhere to eat, not to read signs, so it's not my responsibility to read signs, but it is the restaurant's responsibility to let me know beforehand what they accept or not.
Basically they forced me to walk 10 min to the closest ATM to get some cash for something they should have. Who in the 21st century does not accept cards from everywhere in the world? Maybe something in the countryside or a small business, but not a restaurant chain in Porto...
I also tried to come up with a solution, asking for a bank account so I could transfer from my British bank to their bank account, but that didn't work. They said that I could pay using a service that I can't remember the name, but was something related to multibanco (which has to do with the Portuguese banks, therefore this was also useless to me).
So, in a nutshell, the place is good, food is good, but service is terrible. I won't be going anymore when I'm...
Read moreBeautiful restaurant with great food and amazing people! Went earlier today with my girlfriend and had a great time since the moment we entered the restaurant, as I was greeted with a nice environment and a familiar face, a member of the staff I knew from their newly open establishment in Leça, who, throughout my visits always was very nice and welcoming! The food we enjoyed is most definitely, from my many experiences, the best you can find in this price category, especially when it comes to an "all you can eat", not skimping on the great deal of flavour most fail to provide. The rest of the staff were extremely welcoming and very pleasant to interact with, always coming to our table just to check up on us. We both had an especially great time with Pedro, a member of the staff who, all throughout our stay, developed enough confort for us to joke around and for him to encourage us to eat until our bellies exploded (that should always be the goal when eating sushi). Pedro even went out of his way to escort us to the door and wish us a great day, which we really appreciated! Overall great experience, with great prices and a great deal of...
Read moreThe restaurant was mostly full at the hour I arrived so I assumed it was a good indication of quality. I was sat in a table in the corner, that was then inaccessible because another table was in the way and some other cliente sat there, so every time the food was delivered I had to get up or the other person had to awkwardly get up, the tables/chairs positions could be put in a way that made movement possible.
The food was the standard buffet style sushi that is most common in Portugal, however the rice was overcooked and the sushi wasn't nothing special.
The space was big and with high ceilings, with a "factory" style decoor and wall art, however it was very loud and chaotic, difficult to even hear the person I was in a table with. The service also took some time, they have a system that is based on ordering trough an website with a qr code, and it's not very Intuitive at first.
I tried it and didn't enjoy it much compared to other...
