During our trip through Portugal, we discovered a charming café in Olhão that quickly became the highlight of our stay. This small, beautiful café is not only a place to enjoy the best coffee ever but also a paradise for sandwich lovers and a wonderful spot for deep conversations.
From the moment we entered the café, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly owners. Their kindness and openness immediately created a warm and inviting atmosphere. It is rare to meet people who are so passionate and joyful about what they do, and that is exactly what makes this café so special.
The coffee here is truly in a class of its own. With every sip, you can taste the love and care that goes into each cup. Whether it's an espresso, cappuccino, or a creative specialty coffee – the quality is simply unmatched. The sandwiches are also a culinary delight, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Especially the homemade sauce and the olive oil are incredibly good.
Our visit to this café was the perfect end to our trip through Portugal. It was a place of comfort, enjoyment, and exchange – a true hidden gem that we highly recommend to everyone.
Take the time to visit this little...
Read moreI very rarely review places, but I really want Café Tinto to be more known throughout Olhão!
We were immediately greeted by the staff who were both attentive, friendly and welcoming, and were more than happy to answer our numerous questions about themselves and their products and their lovely new cafe.
The coffee was some of the best I've ever tasted (I was thrilled to see they also sold the beans for me to bring home with me), and their selection of soft drinks was also fantastic. There was a choice of red and white wine, too, both of which were the perfect accompaniment to their selection of home-made sandwiches. There were four of us during this visit, so we chose one of each of the four sandwiches on their menu, and though we all had our clear favourite, each one was delicious and clearly crafted by someone with a great palate for flavour combinations!
We sat in there for a good while, chatting with the owners as well as a few locals and their sweet little dogs, drinking our coffee and wine and eating tasty food! I don't think we would've gotten better service anywhere else, and I really hope this place is open when I return some point...
Read moreWe had the absolute pleasure of visiting Café Tinto and were warmly welcomed by Mo & Talia, whose passion for coffee is completely infectious. We ended up having the most generous chat and geeking out over brewing methods, beans, and all things coffee. Honestly, it was one of the highlights of our day!
The coffee itself was truly exceptional, every detail so carefully thought through, from the grind extraction, milk & pour. You can tell it’s made by people who really care. The marble cake was divine, and the atmosphere was just as lovely, warm, friendly, and inviting.
A huge thank you as well for the travel AeroPress recommendation, it's been a total gamechanger for us on the road and my mind really has been changed!
