This small place can get crowded in the evenings, but at these prices people just take their drinks and hangout on the (mostly) pedestrian street. Definitely a nice place to mingle with locals.

Great little place for a beer (1€) and a burger (2.5€). Fantastic…and maybe the best french fries on the island! Tiago was bartender, cook, barista and overall friendly guy. I found this bar when visiting 4 years ago, this is my favourite bar, we would visit most nights. Very good local beer. Especial, Bottled Munich. Good selection of spirits. We like the lively atmosphere, the local people drinking in there have always been great, join in the atmosphere.

My cousin and I happened upon this little place while vacationing in the Azores and we fell in love!!! We met some fabulous locals, Paulo, Mario and Monica!! Spent most of the evening with them learning a bit about the Islands, the culture and the language and most of all we laughed our fool heads off. It was the night before Carnival and all of the bartenders were dressed in drag so it was even more entertaining. Definitely a night we will remember! Sad we didn't exchange any info with our three new...

Popular place for drinks and soccer. This is their local soccers team pub. One of the only places we saw that boasts a 'local flight' of beer. Nothing special but still fun to try. They have a small selection of bar snacks, we had a couple and all were delicious. Service is too notch, would visit again and recommend. They put tables outside at night once the...
