Couldn’t not write these guys a review. Best food in our Portugal trip for sure! The menu is reduced, which means everything they do, they do well! Everything was really good and made with fresh ingredients, to the content of my fat kid’s heart. The ambience (excuse my French) is also very cool and Portuguese-y (get it!?). Finally, the friendliest service you could ask for. Shout out to Miguel who not only was super helpful with explaining the dishes, but also shared some Portuguese culture. If you’re looking for a good and cute place to eat then Avô Casimiro is the place. The food is something from a different world, so good.

Authentic Portuguese/Algarve dishes but the preparation and the execution of those dishes were beyond mine imagination.

I came to Portugal as a tourist especially to eat good and this place topped all the places I visited.

The hosts were very nice as well, despite they were very busy running their restaurant, they made time to chat and tell something about the menu. Don’t expect a fancy explanation or treatment, just clear and honest. Exactly what is important, in my opinion.
